... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!

IMHO it's been as loud as Cameron Indoor at points (not throughout). WSU is looking like they could go all the way in the NIT! It'd be great if Creighton or Evansville wins the CBI and UNI wins the CIT. We'd take all but the NCAA hahahaha... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. HEY! They just showed Bradley on Natl. TV!...... at the bottom of the MVC standings.... *sigh. They could have at least put an asterisk next to us saying "WE NEED A COACH!" haha... What a blowout!! Looked sloppy at the end, but great job WSU! Is it possible to get a WSU-MSU NIT final?... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Gotta' win 5 games straight, and the competition only gets tougher. Would be nice to see one of those teams advance to the next round, but they will both go on the road vs. ACC teams.
I don't remember seeing a Valley team in the semi-finals in the NIT since I've been following the league avidly since 1993. Anyone know the last time a Valley team reacher the quarterfinals?
I remember WSU was close in 2004-'05, but lost on a buzzer-beater lay-up at Vandy - shouldn't have happened.

This game made me proud of the Valley...
Wichita absolutely put a butt-whuppin on a pretty good Nebraska team that had beaten #3 Texas, #13 Texas A&M, #22 Mizzou
The folks who seeded the NIT thought these two were about evenly matched so placed them as a 4-5 seed game...
This game looked like a top college team playing a JV high school squad...there were long stretches where Nebraska couldn't even get the ball into the frontcourt or get a shot off -- the Huskers (moving to the Big Ten) were totally mauled in every aspect of this game..
If these guys are in the Big Ten next year then there's at least a little hope for Tom Crean that he won't finish last again..
Maybe the Big Ten should have invited Wichita State instead!!
Unlike all those softie games over the likes of San Jose State, this game was worth mentioning and DID get a little mention on ESPN..
Also -- Northwestern beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee...
gotta ask -- what's UW-M in the NIT for anyway -- they are far more like a CBI team or CIT -- maybe not even worthy of post-season at all..
14 losses...incl. DePaul, Florida Atlantic, WMU, lunching up on the bottom dwellers of the Horizon while churning out a 5-7 non-conference record against a non-con SOS that was not strong....they did play Marquette and Wisky but got hammered

Milwaukee won the Horizon League...they won the tiebreaker by virtue of sweeping Butler and splitting with Cleveland State...not due to feasting on the bottom feeders...it was beating the top teams that won them the title. The Horizon League was rated higher than the MVC in RPI. Several here thought Missouri State should get in the NCAA's because they won the MVC regular season. By that logic, Milwaukee also should have been in the NCAA's. Fortunately, that logic is very faulty, and neither was included, which is how it should have been. They lost 75-72 to Marquette...not exactly what I would call getting hammered. But they beat Butler 76-52...that I would call a hammering. They also beat UNI in their only matchup against an MVC foe.

Had we won the conference title, we'd have been in the NIT too. But to many here, contending for conference titles is not important at all. I'd have rather been Milwaukee this season, than Bradley in 2008 and 2009, but that's just me.
