  • NIT- #3 seed Dayton forced to play road game

One of the NIT games tonight (3/15) is Dayton at College of Charleston
Dayton is a #3 seed and C of C is a #6 seed. But because Dayton's home arena is the site for the 2 First Round NCAA games tonight, they were forced to play this first round NIT game on the road at the lower seeded College of Charleston arena.
The result was that Dayton, the defending NIT champion, was eliminated by C of C 94-84.

Top seed Boston College is also playing on the road...they're up 9 at the moment.

Dayton fans are being pummeled by the hype that Dayton has had FOUR CONSECUTIVE post-season appearances....

and that they have 9 post-season wins over that span....

BUT---- only one of those was the NCAA...the rest were the lesser E-I-E-I-O tournaments, and they only won ONE game in the NCAA!!!

...somehow that failed to impress a whole lot of Bradley fans and even was the mantra by the "fire Jim Les" crowd...

So -- only one NCAA appearance since 2004 for Dayton & Brian Gregory....so can someone tell my how much better that is than Coach Jim Les' performance??

Gregory's seat should be a little bit warm right now.

That said, he did win an NIT, which isn't nothing to sneeze at.
