How long will it take BU to announce a new head coach for the MBB Team?

Hopefully within a couple weeks, although I don't know if they have to wait till the end of the NCAA Tourney to talk to potential candidates on teams ni the Big Dance...

I hope that it is at least until the tourny is over. They will, at the minimum, had the opportunity to speak to all potential candidates.

I was thinking of a mid April hire so I voted 30-45 days. Closer to 30 days than 45 though.

Think it may be mid-tournament or so a bit earlier.

I was thinking closer to 30 days. Around the end of the tourney. I know that the final four is a time that a lot of interviews are done for open coaching positions.

They only way it is earlier, IMO, is because the administration has a particular candidate in mind and that person is available to sign right away.

The Checkbook Syndrome!

The tighter the budget the longer the process - who knows maybe the 'roadrunner' will be our interim coach for a substantial period of time!

I'm not in the know like some of you guys, but i really think that every day we do not make a hire in bad for the the program. That in mind, making a hire in a hurry could also be bad. I am sure the new coach will immediately talk to the team and try to stop any possible transfers. I also believe in todays competitive world of recruiting every day lost is not a good thing.

15 days has come and gone....with no replacement named.

Hold on to your horses....Most thought it was going to take more time to play out!
