NCAA issues warning to players about tweeting

There is a specific flyer issued and being handed out to all NCAA athletes cautioning against tweets that reflect anything that alters the potential outcome of a game and might thus be used for gambling purposes...

So -- if a player even tweets "ankle hurt - out for tonight's game" it is possible it could be a tweet that gets used by gamblers...or might actually be intended for gambling purposes..

Its a scary situation...but what are you going to do punish the players...

i would argue regulated gambling is probably safer than all the items that exist now.
