Makes perfect sense. They need a pg, Sammy doesn't have to sit out, he's on a higher profile stage in his final year, etc. Good luck to him if he chooses that. As far as BU is concerned, they better hit a home run with their coaching hire.

What happened to "Once a Brave always a Brave". Doesn't pertain to everyone I guess. If he would leave I wouldn't wish him good luck. I would feel he is a traitor.Period U of I is just one step better then that other school just down the road.

For all the hub-bub about this...let's remember we lost Joah Tucker, Antoine Tisby, and eventually Danny Granger when we fired Mo and hired Les. One can argue Tucker and Tisby were gone anyways, but even so we ended up losing an NBA all-star - who had nearly 3 years left of basketball to be played at BU. It stinks to lose Sammy, but he's not Danny Granger. If we lost a Granger-type, then I would be upset. News flash - There isn't a Granger-type on the roster right now. As long as Sammy doesn't leave town saying he needs to play for a white coach and needs to get closer to home, I will wish him the best of luck at Illinois.

Wow. My feelings are the exact opposite of this.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

+1 I'm a U of I fan as well, but why would someone leave a school where he has been a fan favorite since freshman year for a school where he'd play one year and barely be remembered 5 years from now. I understand why the players are upset with JG on the decision she made, but in an attempt to spite her they're going to ruin a great legacy they could have built at BU and leave a very sour taste in thousands of BU fans who have supported them, and even turned out 7000-8000 a game for a team that spent the whole season in last place. The fans proved their loyalty this season, I really hope most of the players prove theirs next.

Respectfully disagree. I don't see TB as having NBA talent, at least not at his size. But that's just me.

I hope Taylor can play basketball again for someone, even if it's not us.

Here are a couple articles that are relevant to the situation surrounding Sam. The NCAA allows student-athletes to transfer if the have graduated, and if the NCAA deems that the purpose of the transfer is solely to pursue study in a post-graduate field that his University does not offer.

The case profiled here is that of a star quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, who wanted to transfer from Oregon to Mississippi. His waiver (needed from the NCAA to allow such a transfer) was denied by the NCAA because they examined his case and decided his reasons were football related. So all such transfers need to be approved by the NCAA, and there is no guarantee Sam will receive a waiver. We'll have to wait and see.

                            Agree.

Granger can handle the ball, and shoot the 3.

How are they similar at all lol.

I think the vast majority of Bradley fans (90%+) would disagree with you.
