As far as I know as lnog as SM graduates and is accepted into a graduate program he can transfer and play next season for anyone. I have it from a reliable source that SM plans to transfer to the U of I unless something unexpected happens.
Quite a lot of buzz about Les/Maniscalco tonight at the PND-Central game. I was told by some PND folks (in the know) that big Max and family had approached Les about him attending BU.
However, (again, this is just what I heard), Les told him he wasn't going to give away his last scholly because he was holding it for Sam.
With Les out, SM is now talking transfer because he won't have the ride.

I haven't checked the scholarship grid and I know next to nothing about MB, but does that jive with what we still had available?
If so...too bad, would have loved to have MB in Bradley Red - guess he hasn't committed officially yet, still time for the new guy to snatch him up if BU acts quickly enough.

Les filled all four open schollys for next year so he was gonna have to move something around to keep SM on scholarship anyways. Even if SM were to leave we would still not have any open ones, unless somebody else was already planning to leave...

You can bet there will be movement. If not before the new hire surely after he comes on board.
The last time BU hired, they had well over 200 inquiries, and almost 80 submitted resumes....
it is not the inquiries that matter -- it is the quality of the parties that are genuinely interested and desirous of the position...that we do not know, and may never know if experience is any indication...
Exactly tornado. For all we know many of these could just be high school coaches......
BU is all the talk in and around Peoria. Also get PR on ESPN.com and in an around Chicago sports as well.
BU is getting flooded with inquiries.
Take the free PR and run with it. Now we need to get the interviews really going and get a good hire.
That's the whole bitter-sweet part of this situation. Its almost refreshing to get in my car in the morning and night and hear BU talk on 1470 and ESPN (although Donnie talking about Tony Y and Wayne yesterday made me want to pound my head into a wall) Reminded me of all of the BU talk during the S16 run, and a strong reminder of how relevant BU hoops can be in this community.

Donnie talking makes me want to pound my head into a wall. Amateur hour at its finest. 96.5 reminds me of listening to a college radio station. The only highlights are when Jim Mattson is on. The difference in ability is obvious.

My family has had season tickets for the past 40+ years. I've been going to games for the last 20+ years. Sam Maniscalco is my favorite Bradley player of all time. Now he'll be playing for the team I hate the most. Thanks JG!
If that's what sammy wants to do I'll wish him the best... May even have to watch some illinois games. But I hope sammy will at least wait to see who bradley hires.

If he leaves, it's because he decides to. Nothing else.
