Good luck Remy- Can't wait to see you on the Hilltop!
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Remy was the star for Eastern last night with a game high 17 points-

Update on Remy Abell and his recruiting status-
      http://blogs.courier-journal.com/jod...-abell-update/

Abell, one of the elite players in the Bluegrass State this season, signed with the Braves last fall and was expected to enroll at Bradley next fall to play for Les.
But now his future could be in doubt.

I talked with Abell on Tuesday night after he led Eastern to the Seventh Region title and he didn’t have much to say about his future, noting he "wants to concentrate on (the) state" tournament that will begin next Wednesday.

Eastern coach Jason Couch said at this point it’s too early to speculate and noted Abell will likely wait to see who is hired as the Bradley coach before making any firm decisions.

With the lack of top talent left in the Class of 2011, there’s no doubt Abell would become a hot commodity with his stellar play this season. There were at least 12 college coaches in attendance on Tuesday when he took over the Seventh Region final in the fourth quarter.

Agreed Bravemen. We have to look towards the future of BU. If he chooses not to come to BU, you have to move forward anyway.

You cannot be afraid of what might happen. I think, all too often, that people want to focus on the dark clouds and "would, could, should".

The BU job is getting a ton of interest in the job opening. We have a great opportunity to build from this.

That game was littered with D1 players, specifically uncommitted Tony Kimbro. (ie your 12 coaches)

He may (he probably will) ask for his release, but I think he'd end up somewhere along the lines of a VCU than a Virginia.

I don't think he's capable, but I suppose Kam Woods could try to convince Stevens that he can run some point. It would necessitate a red-shirt, somewhere, so I dont think its at all likely but I guess its possible.

I don't really remember, but what other offers did Donivine Stewart have besides BU??? I think he would be a fool not to come here if he wants some immedaite plaing time. At worst he would play 15-20 mins a game backing up SM and if SM actually does leave he could potentially start immediately with DSE playing the 2.

The scholarship offers reported publically were Bradley, DePaul, and West Virginia, and I can vreify that all 3 of those were solid offers-

But I have heard from a reliable source that there were others.

Recall that Donivine Stewart committed to Bradley very early, in March of 2010, well before the end of his junior year. There were many other D1s following him who probably would have offered if he remained on the market his senior season.

A freind of mine spoke to Donivine's dad and said he chose BU over West Virginia.

Hmm....I smell illegal recruiting of a signed player right off the bat...

I think it's great that Stewart got those other offers. But, if he wants the chance to be a star, an all-conference player, and potentially a conference POY, he needs to stay at Bradley and help to build a legacy. Donivine and Remy can be to Bradley now what JJ Anderson was to Bradley in the early 80's.

Very much understand this, but I am at least looking for a glimmer of hope for a recruit that I dearly want to see here!

I think he will be an outstanding guard. If we get Remy AND a coach that is strong in player development, we are in for a treat I think.
Gotta' admit that Coach Les was pretty good at developing very good guards.
Hopefully we'll get someone that can do even better...more importantly with bigs.

I'm only about 30% confident that he'll end up at BU. Just my gut feeling - nothing more.
                            But that's at least something!

Since the John Wilkins debacle I'v learned to take a wait and see attitude about every recruit. I'll take that same philosophy with the current roster also. I guess I'll take MM's attitude from here on out.
