I would think Les would have no problem watching his Braves play on the road. I know Dino Guadio watched Wake Forest play at Xavier this past year during a tribute to Skip Prosser.

Yeah, but that still doesn't answer why he has to stay away for the time being. And are you implying that Guadio is still not allowed on the Wake Forest campus after all this time?

I would think it is standard procedure when a coach is let go. Kind of like a "non-compete" clause for sales guys. I'd guess there's at least a 2 year ban. This is probably just to keep him from becoming a distraction to whoever the new guy is.

Well that's a shame, though I suppose most coaches do stay away for x amount of time once they are fired. Hopefully he will surface somewhere else in the not too distant future. Heck, he can even become an assistant coach to his brother Tom up here in Niles at Notre Dame High School if he wants to!

Think about it. If you're trying to keep all your current players from transferring, why would you let a potentially disgruntled former coach talk to them?

I'm sure, as they were negotiating severance, there were terms laid out about who he can and can't talk to.

When you fire someone in an office, you typically escort them out of the building. This is the same thing...just on a more public scale.

Jim did not talk to the players after he was fired, and has not contacted them since being fired.

Well, that is undoubtedly not his choice.

Again, it's usually part of the settlement.

The parting situations of Mo and JL have both been tough.

I hope he comes back soon, although like

                        KK and Broski (Mo)

JG and MC (JL) probably will take the next regime

I deal with boiler plate contracts, so nothing I haven't already heard.

Oh that would be the typical BU MO. They have had a class problem for years.

Really? I thought that the men's basketball and soccer teams two of BU's biggest sports program, especially the coaches have carried themselves with a ton of class. Please elaborate. There are some individuals that treat the institution as a business but I have not seen any problems on how they have conducted themselves. I may not like what has transpired or how it happened but to say there is a lack of class is a stretch.

Business though can be quite cold.

I agree with you completely about the coaches and the sports programs. It's the administration that has a class problem.
