Dr. Cross on WMBD Sports

I'm guessing he was on other stations as well, but I caught just the end of the interview and thought he was saying something about the "integrity" of the b-ball program. I'm wondering if anyone who saw this can shed some light on what he was saying?

i saw some of it on another channel....DRuff thought JL would get another year....D Stewart wants to play at BU but is interested in who the new coach will be.....Cross said pretty much not to worry with the nice facilities for practice and CA for games that BU has much to offer and they will get a new coach with the search already on.....something also on the money but didn't catch it all...was on a phone call and trying to listen to the tv at the same time.

I actually liked what he said about the search for a new coach and how important it is for Bradley to make the right choice because the basketball program is so important to the University and the community.

sounded good...

He talked "sort of" about other things, along with wins and losses being the issue.

Personally, if they had issues with JL or the program being respectful to JG and MC thats a private issue between them, but I thought it made it seem like off the court issues were at play.

I think JL has done a good job in those regards over the past 3 or 4 years.

See I walked away with two separate thoughts. Initially I thought he was talking about JL and issues of integrity within the program. But then I thought that just maybe JL might have been rubbing the new admin the wrong way.

Either way, I thought it was funny to see Dr. Cross on TV just 24 hours after saying there would be no more comments until after the hiring process was complete in yesterdays press release.

I really hope off court issues had nothing to do with this decision. It is very difficult for coaches to be proactive as they are not paid to be babysitters. I thought JL's reaction to every off court issue was outstanding, and was very upset when JG stepped on his feet during one of the situations. Very poor display on her part.
