30 min into the match, no score. Though CU has dominated action.

Bradley with a penalty kick because of a handball inside the goal area at 29:13 left.

Joe Donoho gets the PK--------> GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL! for Bradley!

        BU leads 1-0

          12 minutes to go.

Creighton just bounced 2 shots off the crossbar with the net wide open. It might be Bradley's day!
CU has outshot BU in the 2nd half 14-2, and 22-10 for the match.

Bradley has been outplayed for nearly the whole game, but still leads 1-0. Creighton is very good.

Creighton scores a miracle goal with 4.4 seconds left to tie at 1-1. Going to overtime. Tough luck for the Braves.

Well, what can I say. That was a devastating loss! BUT, like what happens a lot in soccer, it was partially a great play on Creighton's part (the 4.4 second goal), and partially luck on Creighton's side. Bradley lost that game through no fault of their own. They could not cover their own goal any better, it's just that the ball happened to get through. No other way to explain it. But still a great effort by Bradley nonetheless, and despite the outcome, they will be a force to reckoned with for years to come!

One other observation I noticed. Did the Creighton coach have to be so classless when they interviewed him just prior to the start of the second half? I think he's a sensational coach who has done great things for the Valley, but did he have to say that Bradley played poorly in the first half (along with his own team as he also acknowledged) as well? I wonder if anyone else caught that?

I saw that, and I was not as bothered by it. I took it to mean that he thought Bradley could play a lot better than they did, and so could Creighton.

Well, if that's what he meant, it was probably no big deal. Like I said, he's a great coach, and there should be some more fun games between the two schools in the years to come. If only they would let us win one of these title games one of these years, then things would be a lot better!

I think Creighton is now 10-2 in the tourney championship game. Their record in the MVC tournament is like 26-5-1. They are definitely tough to beat in the tourney and Bradley had them yesterday. It's too bad for Bradley as they had an NCAA tourney bid ripped from their hands.
