Mexico-I don't know you but I do really have to commend your post. It is well thought out and very much reflects what I believe. I too very much want the players and recruits to stay. I am very proud of how the current players have represented the university.

I understand the coach is a big part of their experience and their decision to attend Bradley. I hope they all take their time and consider the options and the pro's/con's of the situation.

Peoria is not the most glamorous place in the world but we think it is a special place and it is a particularly special place to play basketball. When you come here you become a part of the Bradley family. It may sound hoky (ok it probably is hoky) but it is true.

Like you I feel a sense of loss at Jim leaving. Probably greater than I expected but Bradley is still a great place. I think Jim would probably tell you the same thing.

Mexico-like you I did not attend Bradley. I did grow up in Peoria but I was fortunate enough to attend another great university. I have not lived in Peoria for almost 30 years (I'm not "that" old) but I still feel a very strong connection to the University. In spite of my displeasure with the decision to let Jim go I will stay with Bradley. Of course I will also stay with Jim wherever he goes-he is "family".

Have to agree completely and I am like you and Mexico as I am not a BU graduate but have become a BU fan as I love college BB. I hope the present players stay but will respect the decision whatever it will be.
