personally I have concerns beyond that....
has nobody caught on to the fact that there's a whole lot of stuff "behind the scenes" and people walking on eggshells waiting for the hammer to drop?

Its clearly going to drop on a number more people that is correct.

Is it worse than the number of people who abandoned ship under KK? He micro-managed things as well.

        • the PJ Star has placed a number of calls and nobody wants to talk....I wonder what these guys would have to say......
Didn't the PJS go and talk to a bunch of disgruntled ex-BU employees and get their story back when KK was fired??

            Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I don't know that's what he'd want -- and I am sure he'll want to see who gets hired....but there clearly is a chance he may want to leave and play elsewhere.

I have been a season ticket holder through the last five head coach firings.....and none were as lacking in dignity and civility as this one, and I doubt anyone who knows the facts can disagree. I am still a Bradley fan but have a bad feel for the direction all BU sports programs are headed...
If we lose Jim DeRose, then even soccer will be headed down the same path...
I could respond to your 1st paragraph but it would be deleted . I am in total agreement with your 2nd paragraph. Some of the things I've heard from good sources make you wonder whats going on up there. But it doesn't make you wonder whose running the show.

It's evidently not going to "drop" on the assistant coaches. According to the PJS they've been given the option of returning. That can't sit well with ANY incoming coach.

I would think its till a new coach comes in and evaluates the situation.....but that is just me...

I think it said until the new coach arrives...
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Oops! Just re-read it ... it said "during the transition."

                          • the first 4 quesiotns any decent coaching candidate will want to know about the open position are...

                            -salary
                            -length of contract offered
-can he have choose his own staff and recruit his own players without interference
-will the department be free of interference and/or turmoil..

Personally, I could live without #'s three and four as a Univ Prez, if the head coaching candidate would also agree on immediate termination and voiding of his contract if said coach's program was found in violation of NCAA rules, or, if any player interferred with the image/reputation of the school or caused turmoil in the school's community!

                              Complete authority demands complete accountability...otherwise...

Salary is probably unmovable at BU. So why would they apply if they want $500k+? Jim's salary is known by everyone.

Choosing his own staff will be up to the coach, I believe.

The interference is an opinion. As I said earlier, KK was known as a micro-manager, so nothing as changed in that department.
