It's marketing, pure and simple. Miami and Chicago are 2 of the top US cities in Hispanic population.
The Hispanics are not much into basketball, so they see an untapped market.

DC - I know what they were trying to do. It's been done before.
My point is that if you are going to try to cater to the hispanic markets, why "los bulls" and "el heat" on the jersey? Does that make a hispanic want to watch the game?
Besides, wouldn't it have been "los toros" and "el caliente" instead?

I'm hispanic and most hispanics find that type of marketing as ridiculous. Basketball will get big for those markets as hispanics start playing in the NBA. Also the biggest hispanic market demographically are the Mexicans who tend to gravitate towards soccer.

Korver doesn't get minutes because he's a defensive liability. The east may have opened up when the Celtics traded Perkins and essentially got smaller. Chicago has the most size of any contender in the east with Boozer and Noah. They have a good shot at coming out of the east due largely to Rose. He's taken great strides this year and seems to be the front-runner for the MVP.

Korver does get minutes. He's a solid part of the second rotation. 20.8 mpg is more than Bogans and Watson and only three less than Brewer. He also shoots 42% from 3 range. You are correct, though, in saying that he doesn't defend well. Brewer is more athletic and a better defender and Thibs tends to go him in tighter, defensive oriented situations.
I think the bigs are also a huge key to this team. Noah and Boozer certainly open up the lanes for D Rose and they simply outwork teams on the glass. Don't underestimate the contributions of Gibson (he's been slumping) and Asik.
I really like this current team, it's a best-case scenario considering we didn't get any of the big three in the off-season. This configuration may actually be BETTER for that. Rose is the clear-cut leader and doesn't have to contend with the egos and odd chemistry that probably would have come to town with Lebron, etc.
This Bulls team has a good chance to come out of the East.
The Bulls also have perhaps the easiest remaining schedule...
Only two remaining games in the entire season against contending teams (the other top 4 in the east)
The Bulls play AT Orlando once more and have one home game vs. the Celtics...
Of the Bulls' remaining 21 games, 11 are at home, and only TWO of the road games remaining are against teams above .500.

I was addressing why he doesn't get more minutes.

While the Bulls have improved on both ends of the floor, it is mainly their improvement on the defensive end that has them in the hunt for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
