With all the talk of down years by Gonzaga, Butler and Memphis, here they all are in the tournament again! The only mid-major of note not going back this year is Northern Iowa.

out of the MAC, once again a high #6 seed 23-12 (9-7) Akron beats #1 seed 23-11 (12-4) Kent State by 1 point in an overtime thriller.
The teams got in a little scuffle at mid court as the Akron players trampled over a couple Kent State players as they were rushing the court to celebrate. No punches thrown or anything, just a lot of pushing and tempers flaring.
