I wonder why this shouldn't be debated. I think there are a lot of great points on both sides of the debate. I loved Jim as a player and wanted nothing more than for him to find success as a coach, but it just hasn't worked out. I totally understand why folks would want to give him one more year, but I'm of the opinion that it would only be dragging out the inevitable ending.

I am told by a solid source that the players' performance on the court this tournament and this entire season had a lot to do with the decision but in the end it'll be decided by some certain people with the big money and how they feel....

It would add finality and closure in a fair and compassionate way..... if it is meant to be.

Why couldn't he be compassionately dismissed now?

Because we've been having that debate for 9 years. Hundreds of times. There is nothing more to say.

                Haha...sorry...had a few today!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

I understand that, but he just coached the final game of his 9th season. It has to be more relevant now than ever before. I don't think too many people were debating this after the Sweet 16 and NIT seasons.

I actually think Jim would be better oof if he got paid for his 3 more years and left. Why should he put up with this kind of crap every year from people who have never coached a game in their lives.I think he deserves another year. God help Bradley if they fire him and bring in someone who doesn't know a thing about Bradley. We already have too many people in charge who know nothing about Bradleys history.

Sure. It's the perfect time to discuss it. I just don't think there is any more to say. I'm not sure there is a perspective that I have not heard or an opinion that someone has not shared. But, if you want to add something fresh, I will listen.

Because too many people would question "what if". What if we gave Les that one extra year with a full contingent of his players and high quality new recruits.......
Especially if Les' replacement really turned out to suck.

I know others feel different but let's not get out of control and start slamming. We have no control what will happen and let's see what the powers to be will do before we have an all out discussion. If you would have told me back in oct. JL would go to Stl beat DU and score 56 pts vs WSU i would wonder what you were thinkin I have to give hats off to jim great season

What did Dick Versace know about Bradley's history before he got here? Being a Bradley guy is overrated. Thad Matta wasn't a tOSU guy. Coach K wasn't a Duke guy. Heck, John Wooden wasn't even a UCLA guy.

Well said, and I voted in the majority on the poll saying that he will have at least one more year to prove himself. However, perhaps you should have added one additional category: "between one more year and life"! I don't believe he has earned a "lifetime" contract yet, but a couple of more NIT's or better the next three years and who knows.

I think it would definitely be a plus to be familiar with Bradley and their history, but that's just me.
