I have seen all the games. There is the occasional blown call, but I can honestly say I have not seen any bias or agenda. In my opinion the group of officials has done a solid job and most have officiated games deep in the NCAA tournament.
I also listened to the games on St. Louis radio. They specifically commented on Pollard. They said that if you wanted to have a discussion with him he would listen and treat you fairly, but if you want to moan and rant then you can expect a T to follow shortly.
Officiating is not the problem with the Braves lack of success this year.
I was OK with the calls until they gave Marshal a Time-out when the ball was still rolling on the floor with neither team having a hand on it and the ball rolling into WE's chest....
I stopped complaining about these horrible reffs awhile back. Until the Valley changes it's procedures these reffs will continue to believe they should have the cameras on them at all times. I blame Elgin as well because he has had plenty of time to do something about it.

Pete, all these guys are the best of the Big Ten and Big Twelve. Where to you suggest Elgin go to get better officials?
They obviously call the games much differently for Valley games then the BCS games. That is the real problem! Tell me why they let the bigs in the Big Ten play hard and physical and not in the Valley. There is a disconnect or perhaps Elgin prefers this or the reffs believe because they ref the BCS games that the Valley teams should show them total respect?????

I just I just do not observe the difference. I think the body of work has been acceptable. Like I said there is the obvious blown call, but overall the officiating is about as good as can be expected.
Just saw Pitino say the same thing to a ref...that got JL "T'd" up the other day...bad boy Rick...
oh yeh no T
but if Pitino were to stomp his foot and yell at his own player....
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
The preception of officiating basketball is very humorus to me. Having been in the profession for over 40 years in several different capacities,it never ceases to amaze me the comments I've heard and or read. I'm not going to tell the people who complain the most to try it and find out how hard it is because that would not be benificial to them or the game.Yes, we do have some officials in the MV that do not belong. All leagues do but overall I think we do have the better ones in this tourney. Some people want us to hire officials from the BCS leagues. Go on their message boards and read their b--chs about the officials working games in their league. It isn't any different in those leagues then ours. We just need to learn to live with it and appreciate it when we get the good ones on our games. For those of you who have never officiated, let me tell you it is easy to work a game when both teams play well. It's when one or both are bad on the same night that separates the men from the boys. It's very simple, when the ball goes in everyone looks good no matter whose working the game.

I am not a big fan of the conference officials but I thought the officials did a good job overall in this tour; all you can ask for is consistency and fairness and I believe they accomplished it, of course their were some bad calls but you get them in every game because it is such a fast paced sport .
