Thursday's note, the crowd, and some comments I heard..

-even though Wichita & Missouri State weren't playing -- a few of their fans did show up so they had the 5th and 6th most fans there last night even tho their team was not there.

-of the team who were playing -- SIU had the most fans, then BU, ISU, and Drake..
I also saw a couple UNI & Creighton fans, but saw zero Indiana State or Evansville fans based on gear they were wearing

-BU fans were loudest -- by far---
other fans from other teams got up and moved when they saw how vocal the BU fans were

-even if 6675 were reported in attendance _ I would say it was less than 4000 and maybe 3000

-I didn't see any of the "good" Redbird fans -- the ones I know from 10 years over on the other board who are always putting us down...
I know many of them and yet saw none of them.

-The ISU fans I did see basically all said...
"drat - another game of Jankovich's style where we flirt with only scoring 40 and nobody can hit the basket.
I'm just glad we are out of our misery"

-low numbers everywhere on the streets, restaurants, etc....
I know it was Thursday, but it's not like we haven't been here on Thursday before --
I think this'll be one of the lower attendances for a while...
economy, the Valley is down, gas prices...were all reasons people speculated

I saw a few Indiana State fans, but not many and didn't see any Evansville fans - like you.

I think the actual attendance was probably about what they listed. Remember, it includes both games and people flow in and out.

There probably weren't 6,600 at any one time, though.

BU fans had a nice showing and the entire arena showed class with its reception for Prosser when he came back to the bench.

Shocker fans, if nothing else, are loyal. They always show up.

PS Live in Az now, couldn't make St Lou this year (first miss since I moved to Pia in 98!)...Still watch, listen, post, chat, attend BU games near to Phoenix, and donate to BU! Buy Season Tix to BU and resell to friends (just in case we ever move back to midwest! ).

And I didn't even attend/graduate from BU!

I guess I am still a BU Fan/Supporter, even though I think BU would be better off with a different head coach.

Now that's a die-hard BU Braves fan! It's amazing how many BU fans there are that didn't even attend the University. I am one myself. I AM A BRAVE...fan!

And for the record, I don't think a fan has to be a Bradley grad, or be at the games to still be a fan.
