Here's a partial list of new schools, which may or may not count in the RPI, and other changes:
Cal State Bakersfield
Winston-Salem St
Florida Gulf Coast
NC Central
Presbyterian
SC Upstate
Central Arkansas
NJ Institute of Technology
South Harmon Institute of Technology
Chicago St has dropped out of the Mid-Con and is now an independent.
Birmingham Southern dropped out of the Big South and is going down to D3.
Former independents IPFW, TX-Pan American, ND State, SD State and Utah Valley St, along with NJIT are forming the United Basketball Conference, which will not have an automatic bid. This could be a short-lived conference because IPFW, NDSU and SDSU will be joining the Mid-Con next year.
Central Arkansas will be playing in the Southland conference, but will not be eligible for the title.
UC Davis will play in the Big West, but will not be eligible for the title.
Northern Colorado will play in the Big Sky, but will not be eligible for the title.
