I listened to the game via internet with WMBD radio. Dave and Coach went on and on about Andrew Warren and even once comparing him to Anthony Parker. This kid must be solid for a freshman. I am going to spell this wrong but Jassey must have a pretty good 15 to 20 foot shot as it seemed like he hit them all.

Did anyone see some possible recruits at the game?

Jim said on the post game show that Sam had some swelling in the knee after some workouts.....dont like to hear that.

There was 1 recruit at the game-- Tyler Storm from Geneseo.

          Stats just posted:

Ruffin was only credited with 6 assists. I could have sworn there were more. He had a couple nice passes for buckets to Zach in the 2nd half, but apparently he only had 1 official assist in the second half.

Attendance 8093, pretty good for an exhibition on a Sat afternoon.

PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley junior point guard Daniel Ruffin (Peoria, Ill./Central H.S.) scored a game-high 23 points and added six assists and four steals, leading the Braves (2-0 exhibition) to an 87-59 men's college basketball exhibition victory versus NCAA Division II Northwest Missouri State (0-1 exhibition) in front of 8,093 fans Saturday afternoon at Carver Arena. Bradley, which was coming off Wednesday night's 90-77 victory versus NCAA Division II national champion Winona State, officially will open its 103rd men's basketball season Nov. 11 by hosting DePaul in a 7:05 p.m. contest at Carver Arena.

I think this game was also part of the Season Ticket package.

Not trying to be negative. Probably beating someone to it.

It was part of the season package. But it was a very good crowd. There were a lot less no-shows than the Carver exhibition games of the last couple years.

After reading the stats I need to give more props to Matt Salley........11 boards! I did not notice that many at the game but did notice that he has real long arms! SJ might need to work on his D and aggressive play.........but his shot sure is there.............I think he gets his shot off as fast as anyone!

Maybe this has already been on the board but I looked up Tyler Storm......http://www.midstatehoops.com/articles/2006/storm1.html

If he has an offer from depaul and still somes to watch the Braves thats good........right?

DePaul is interested in him, but I am not sure they have given him a solid offer. I think he is a contingency to them, there are other recruits they covet more.

My biggest concern is that rebounding will be a serious problem for this team. There will be nights the team doesn't shoot well and that will be a problem, I think defense will be good most nights, but rebounding could be very costly. The guards are going to have rebound a lot more than they are use to.

The players back from last year look good. The new players have some talent but are not ready for 40 minutes of good basketball. Hopefully they will get more consistent as the year goes on.

This team has weaknesses and if they finish better than 7th in the conference then the players and coaches did a really good job.

Some tough games on the early schedule, we will see how quickly the new players come on. Salley has skills and needs to take them to the next level of competition. Jassey needs time to learn the game, but he is athletically gifted. Andrew Warren could be very good before he leaves BU. His defense is good for a freshman this early but not great. He is not afraid to make plays, and I think his shooting will come in time. He has a nice shot, just not draining them.

Again, the guards need to help rebounding. We take shots and when we only have 1 big in the game, I see 4 guards retreating and not helping to rebound.

Carrying the ball must be emphasized this year as I have seen it called 5 times in the 2 exhibition games.

Were there less of those annoying commercials on the scoreboard? I hope!!!!!!!!!!

I listened to Dave Snell and he noted that Daniel Ruffin has 5 assists at halftime, then was credited with only ONE in the 2nd half.
I personally recall considerably more than that.
Twice he fed Zach on fast breaks and once fed Andrew Warren.

But it's only stats in an exhibition game, so what.

Either way, I wonder how many more games like this Daniel Ruffin will have before his critics finally agree he is hands down the best PG in the league, and will give every guard in the league a run for their money.

Even when BU was down 10-0, I was confident they'd blow this team out.
BU is so quick, that even the stat keepers couldn't keep up.
Does anyone who saw the game believe there were only 11 steals? I think there were 11 steals in the first 10 minute of the game!
All in all, a very fun game to watch.
Can't wait for the DePaul game, but I'm gonna go out and see the BU soccer game Sunday afternoon.
