indicate we are not just plugging holes in the dike, but rather building for
the long term.
- We have a roster full of big men for the first time I can remember.
I can think of a few more negatives too but that is besides the point as I really doubt BU eats $1,200,000 left on the contract. If they have that kind of money, they don't need my donation every year.
If Les hadn't started winning again this month, I think it is a totally different story.???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I also agree I doubt that BU eats the contract (have heard that from those that give lots of money also-for what that is worth) along w/ the fact they just brought in all new asst. (they even help coach-saw WS talking to WLjr and Coach P taking kids aside and explaining things to them-this hasn't been done by the ass't for a few years now)

Apathy is a state of indifference, or the suppression of emotions such as concern, excitement, motivation and passion.
Bradley basketball is "the" game in town, and has been for many years, while ISU basketball isn't.???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I am assuming that without the corporate donors' actions the university simply couldn't and wouldn't be able to do a thing...
how dare those uppity corporate donors from thinking they are more powerful than they really are...
How dare them doing this without asking the message board posters what they should do!

There is no buyout clause in the deal, only what the university would have to pay the 38-year-old if he was fired, which would be the full remainder of the contract. As of today, that amounts to more than $2.25 million. If Lowery were to resign, he would actually have to pay the university $250,000.
I thought someone here told us all contracts have "buyout" clauses?

The interesting thing on Lowery's deal was that he had to pay a "fine" or "fee" if he left early on his end. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

If it's not Watson --and note CLo is still head coach so this is all speculation -- I think in their current financial mess they are DEFINITELY NOT going to be able to offer Chris-Lowery-type money to anyone even if they had a shot at Bobby Knight or Billy Gillispie.
So....that means starting over by hiring someone in the $200K range like a Creighton assistant or DePaul assistant.....
Some Saluki fans are hoping Jerrance Howard would be interested.........we'll see.....

I haven't read this whole thread but here is my outsiders perspective.
Dave Reynolds job is to write articles to inform the public on what they want to hear with facts (or what he thinks the public wants to hear). With this piece, he is showing the viewing public that he asked the questions that they want answers to.
His secondary job is the get readers to the PJ Star. Some may view it as slimy or unethical, but facts are facts- contraversy attracks readers. Looks at this thread alone. Over 2,500 views. Those views of this thread lead to hits on the PJ Star's website. Hits=ad $$ to the paper.
Dave is making his bosses happy...
Just my opinion...
