  • Corey Hawkins

Corey started the 2nd half for Arizona State against Washington last Thursday night after coming in late in the first half and giving the team some spark. He ended up with 7 points and 5 rebounds. Hope he gets more playing time the rest of the way in a disappointing season for ASU.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

What was really neat was Corey Hawkings, and another freshman from IOWA, Chanse Creekmur, made their first start today against 7-8 Wash St leading ASU (2-12) to a win after 11 straight conference losses.

Hawkins didn't shoot particularly well (1-6) but scored 3, had 3 rebounds, and had 6 assists in 29 min. Creekmur scored 18 points.

Interestingly enough, Corey and Chanse replaced two recently injured starting ASU Seniors Ty Abbott and Rihards Kuksiks, who had accounted for over 20% of the team's scoring this year.

ASU started 3 freshman, 1 sophmore, and 1 senior.
