      Bradley 81 - Tenn-Martin 75
      W. Michigan 68 - ISU 65 - Mishler started, 4 pts, Wilkins off the bench 5 pts, 1 reb,
      Morehead St. 71 - InSU 65
SIU tied with Green Bay at 56-56 2:40 to go

Could BU be the only Valley team to win their BracketBuster?

BTW, #2 Texas goes down as does #4 Pitt & #7 Notre Dame

      SIU wins 61-60

Missouri State looking real bad. Valpo leads 38-23 at half.

Looks like the entire league wants to sabotage the top teams by losing a bunch of games to very pedestrian teams, and now Missouri St is getting blown out in front of Dick Vitale.

This entire year for the entire Valley is a catastrophe. Every single team other than Evansville has vastly underperformed to their expectations. This is downright shameful and embarassing.

Missouri State is embarrassing the MVC, making us look like the SWAC or something.
They get a marquee game on ESPN2, and now they are getting blown out 65-49! The ESPN people must be trying to think of a way to switch to another game. This is ugly.

Valpo now running away, leading 74-58.
Former SIU guard Brandon Wood looking awfully good for Valpo. He leads everyone with 19 points. He is their leading scorer and one of the top scorers in the Horizon League at 16.3 ppg.

UNI having a 3-pt. party again - 7 of 10 from behind the arc in 1st half.
                    Pretty open looks too...sound familiar.

UNI hanging in there vs. a good G. Mason team.

This is a really good game, tied up with about 3 to go

Tough loss for UNI, down two with 11 seconds to go and lost the inbounds after taking the inbounds away from G. Mason...Wow...crazy finish...but great end of game defense by both teams.

Here's another one, not BBuster, Illinois vs MSU
                        Edit, correct link

All 10 games are final in this year's BracketBuster, and the results are not pretty. The MVC goes 3-7 thanks to an 84-76 win by Drake over Detroit in the late game. Drake, Bradley, and SIU (3 of the bottom 4 MVC teams) are the only 3 winners for the MVC. Our conference was embarrassed- Wichita State losing at home to a pretty good VCU team, and Missouri State getting blown out at Valparaiso. The second tier MVC schools did not fare any better- UNI lost at home to George Mason in a close game, Creighton lost at home to Akron, Indiana State lost at home to Morehead State, and Evansville lost in a 25 point blowout to Murray State.

Oh well, there is always next year.

Missouri St. couldn't throw a beach ball into the ocean today. Plus their defense looked very soft. However, I have to admit I was rooting for Valpo in this game due to the fact I have always been a big Homer Drew fan, plus their program is the model of what college basketball should be all about. So I hope I don't draw the ire of some around here for rooting against the Valley in this game!

And it's nice to see Homer Drew back in the running for an NCAA Tournament bid this year too. At the very least he should have an NIT home game locked up if Valpo wins two of their last three regular season games.

Oh wait. You mean Homer Drew has not had an NCAA Appearance since 2004?! How does this guy still keep his job???!
