You think they still have a chance if they win their last 2 Valley games? I don't think so. However, they would have an undefeated road Valley record, which looks nice. But that's about all.
Shox have to win the Valley tourney to get in...unless

Missouri St. & UNI win today, which makes WSU's wins at their place look better.
This B'Busters loss AT HOME should mean the Shox are not worthy as an At-Large team. They already were on the bubble.
There are probably 3 CAA teams that should get in before Wichita.

I think they have a chance but only because so many of the 4th thru 6th place teams in the BCS conferences are like Illinois and Maryland -- just hanging on and blowing games they should be winning, thus weakening their chances

That would explain why there were so few fouls called in this game. It was actually a pleasure to watch. Had WSU taken care of business it never should have come down to that last call (which I also believe was a bad call).

Big daddystuck, best post on this subject. So many things go into the outcome of a game and you guys get all the credit for W'S and L's we just go to your town work a few hours and go home.

            Maryland is out.

            UIUC is in.

Wich St is most likely out.

Difference between let's say a 14-4 Wich St in the MVC and a 9-9 UIUC in the B10 is UIUC's wins over UNC and Wisky (top 25 in the RPI) and Wich St's best 2 wins are at UNI and vs Tulsa (80 and 95 in the RPI).

              Lunardi now has WSU out.

Jerry Palm, now doing "bracketology" for CBSSports.com, also has Wichita State out. He has only Missouri State from the MVC. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology

Here is his latest blog entry from yesterday (before the WSU-VCU game).-

The issue isn't that this is a "bad loss", per se, because VCU is RPI 65, but the thing is that this game would've become Wichita St's signature win to date this season. Yeesh.

Out for now, but they're still on the board and a win over Missouri St will force re-evaluation.

WSU is out. They have to win Arch Madness to get in.

Best chance for the MVC getting 2 is MSU to win out to the title game (including today), and lose a close one to WSU in Arch Madness. Otherwise it's another year of 1 bid badness.

Given the sorry state of the MVC this year, shouldn't it be called "Arch Badness" this year

Forget JL, the MVC Comissioner should be replaced!

Since the 2006 NCAA "Shining Moment" success seems the MVC has gone downhill in MBB....instead of capitalizing on that success

even in a relatively bad year for the Valley - we are still considerably better than at least half to 2/3 of all the other D-I conferences....so we just need to build on that

We all knew the Valley was going to be weak this year -- and months sooner than even Kyle Whelliston did .....when he finally caught on
to that fact somewhere around Christmas and posted his Valley hit piece....
