Wow. I expected him to have a great year, but that is awesome! Who did ICC play? Do you know how he scored his points (outside shooting vs. drives and reboounds)?

Let's get that LOI next week.

Then it will be time to worry about his grades and hours.
      Onward and Upward!

ICC beat Harper College, of Palatine, IL
          and nice find Big Mike.

Harper had 28 wins last year, and advanced all the way to the Final Four of the NJCAA tourney, taking THIRD place, and they return some key players including All Conference Jarvis Cobb.
Harper is a Division III junior college, ICC is D-II.

ICC has done a very poor job with its web site, and although the 2006-2007 schedule is up, nothing else on the athletic website is current for this year!

ICC played Harper College at the ICC gym in East Peoria, and won 83-74
ICC jumped to a 10-2 early lead in the first half, then Harper had its own 9-3 run to close within 13-11 with 15:11 left in the first half.
It became quite clear, just as in the Bradley exhibition, that ICC was not going to have trouble putting points on the scoreboard.
Illinois Central then responded with a six unanswered points, followed by nine more unanswered points by Harper.
That gave Harper a 20-19 lead, with Harper benefitting from a technical foul midway through the 1st half.

Harper's lead did not last long as ICC had several other runs, finally taking a 41-35 lead into the lockerroom at the half.
It was a see-saw battle in the second half for a while.
Harper got back within one point at 53-52 with 12:11 left, but again IC responded with a 14-3 run over the next five minutes. Harper was able to close the gap again to one at 69-68 after a four-point play with 3:51 left, but Illinois Central was just too much for the Hawks as it outscored Harper 14-5 in the final 3:36.

ICC's DeAaron Williams scored from just about everywhere and led both squads with 29 points.

Both Robert Guillory (Thornridge) and Robert Rhodes (Schaumburg) finished with 16 points each for Harper, Jamal Roper (Hoffman Estates) had 13 points for Harper, and Jarvis Cobb (Elgin HS) added 12 points.

i hope the fact that dw is playing division II junior college ball doesn't hurt his growth. that is why cellus didn't go to icc.

The competition against a D-III junior college last night might be a little weak, but ICC does play some better upcoming teams such as Coffeyville, Kirkwood, etc.

I am a little concerned, although it is early in the season, that ICC allowed Harper to stay so close.
This was a one point game in the final 3 1/2 minutes, and ICC has 3 or 4 D-I caliber players, facing a Harper squad that returns only ONE starting player from last year, and likely doesn't have a single player who had ever even gotten a recruiting post card from a D-I school.
But, there's time to get better.

Now bb, who you callin' 'older'?
Rachel Hunter was born 9/9/69, so she's 37. I looked up her bio on her website, and it refers to her --
"Rachel Hunter...is one of Hollywood's most diverse young actresses."
So She is really young. Her bio says so!
Her best career move was when she was 22 she married Rod Stewart (who was 46 at the time).
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

This is the best place on the net to get stats. What do you think 36" 24" 36"?
