I actually respect the kid for giving up the chance at a state championship. He forfeited because of religious beliefs.

Some guys would pay good money to wrestle a female. B4L is one of them.
This is 2011 last I checked and if a girl wants to go out there and compete and can then why not?
BTW..How did the girl finish?"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
??” Thomas Jefferson

As for softball, the boys can play either a summer or fall league in most towns. Or he can opt for baseball, which is also available in many towns. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

I see a stark difference here in an area that people seem to want to call "equality"...
this instead is hypocrisy....saying that if a girl is good enough to compete on the boys' team, then she should be allowed to because of rules on "equality"..
but if a boy is good enough to play on a girls' team then he is prohibited....and then you go and look for some reason to justify prohibiting them..
Again -- I simply cite that this is NOT "equality" and it is not fairness...it's an artifically rigged and hypocritical situation that gives the girls what they want but prohibits the boys in the exact same, identical situation...
Here's how ludicrous some of these rulings are...
In Los Angeles, where they even had some coed soccer teams, a boy wanted to play in a league that did not have a boys team so he requested to play on one of the girls teams.
Initially his request was honored, but as soon as he started practicing, the entire league was willing to shut down to prevent this from happening
-- so this is NOT about cheating a girl out of a spot on a team -- they were willing to cheat the entire league full of girls out of spots if that's what it would take to prohibit the boy from playing on a girls team.
Does anyone recall this story...Dixon High School did not have a boys bowling team in 1975, so they allowed four boys to bowl on the high school girls bowling team.
the uproar was NATIONWIDE...and kids literally QUIT other opposing schools' teams to protest -- but the Dixon girls high school bowling team went all the way to state and won the State Championship!!
Shortly thereafter IHSA permanently BANNED any boy from ever playing on a girls team again!
I guess this is a flat out admission that boys and girls are NOT equal,
Other schools have since tried this but the teams with boys are banned from state tournament play!

I am not going to get into an argument about religion, but who are we to define what any religion says about this? If anyone believes it is immoral to wrestle a woman and bases it on their interpretation of their religion, then we should respect that, as long as it doesn't harm others or our society.
