Good to see ya back mckillip. You just said perfectly the way I've been feeling this year -- "I'm not sure of my own opinions".

As you know, nobody's been a bigger Les supporter than me through the years. However, I sadly find myself losing all hope for BU with Les as the head coach. It took awhile for me to "see the light", but my overwhelming love of BU and BU Basketball has led me out of the darkness and I am now firmly in the anti-Les camp. I love the guy, went to school with the guy, and wish him nothing but the best; I think he'd make a fantastic assistant at a BCS-caliber school. But, like many, I'm finally ready for a change. If not at the end of this season then after next season if we don't Dance.

Last spring there were rumors and KW found the facts and put an end to the rumors.

My guess on 20 days being vague is an NCAA appearance adds 365 days...

Let's stick to what people actually think, not what we think they think. Seems logical.
You can imply from his columns that he never was a big fan of the guy. I don't know if he ever outright said he wants him fired, but just by "reading between the lines" you know KW will celebrate when and if that day comes.

We are all or most all on here BU fans and want the same thing. Contend for a title most years if not all.
What part of IMO don't you understand? Never did I say he was a BU hater or didn't want the Braves to contend for a league title. Just saying, IMO, he would rather have had someone else be the coach that took the Braves to the final 16.

This was a pretty poorly written article from a journalistic standpoint. First he rips the shreds out of Les, then backpedals at times close to end saying it's not all of his fault. Well which is it Kirk, "Les wrecked the program", or "the players aren't playing up to their potential and no coach can do anything about it?!"

I also have a problem with the timing of this column. For almost the entire duration of the eleven game losing streak Kirk hardly said a word. Then we have only our second loss in the last five games and this set him off! Why?!

I have only two questions for KW. First, does winning three of the previous four games not count for something? And second, just how would winning last night's game have made any difference in the outcome of this season? I can answer that one. None! Because win or lose last night, we still will be playing on Thursday night, and if we win then we will still end up playing one of the top two teams in the conference on Friday. So the timing of his rant couldn't have been more perplexing.

Well he shouldn't eve use the word "likely" if he doesn't know what is going to happen. If he does know something though, then maybe he should actually use some of his journalistic "expertise" and actually do a little digging and provide some, well, I don't know, actual sources!

It's not that hard to do KW. That's you job!

I too want to know this answer, but I'm betting we will get an answer something along the lines of "my number one choice was whoever the BU administration picked........"

Another pre-emptive, unprovoked, attack. I grow very weary of these.....

Why would that be a bad answer? Even if I have a "number one choice", we have to live with whomever is picked, and we may as well root for whoever the coach is. If the administration feels a certain coach is not performing up to their standards, then they will pick whomever they want. Not much more to be said there.

I read this earlier and it had some good points but was really harsh by saying his games are numbered atleast until somethings announced if anything is.

That's why I don't worry about it. Whoever is there I will support.

i am sure he will be in a u of i mcclain 40 jersey trying to force us to support the hire

KW??™s comment is pretty stunning and he is putting a lot of personal credibility on the line by putting such a comment in print. As the Sports Editor for the PJS we expect him, and should be able to rely on him, to (a) be better informed than us and (b) demonstrate journalistic integrity. What he should not be is just another fan in the crowd who spouts off a hot sports opinion based on insight gained from a six pack of beer. KW??™s track record would indicate that he is not consistent on either of those points. Personally, I lost any respect for KW as a journalist after he wrote his infamous ???renegade program??? piece. If JL is not gone after 20 games, then maybe KW should be.

I'm not speaking for KW because I don't know who he wanted hired but like alot of us we wanted someone who was more experienced for our money not someone who could tell us what to do with our money???
