  • KW Article Not Real Positive

KW won't get a birthday card from JL this year after this article in the PJS Bradley Hoops site. Numbers JL's days at BU......

Does he know something we don't, or won't acknowledge?

Enjoyable read. Pretty much sums up everything that was discussed during the game in my (half-empty) section last night...

Not much different from most of what KW writes about Bradley and Jim Les. And, no he does not know anything we don't know about the coaching situation. He only wants the coach fired like he has for a long time (about 9 years).

He probably knows what a few of us on here know....

But there was zero he said in the article that isn't true...

        Especially the part about Prosser!

Key points from the article (IMO)....

"Les took redshirt freshman post Jordan Prosser out of the game at 12:58 and never put him back in......Bradley was up six points when he sat down for good."

It's hard to argue, that looking back, this was a poor decision. Hindsight is 20/20, but the numbers are startling.

"Tuesday night didn??™t figure to be easy for Bradley. After all, the Braves aren??™t in last place because they??™re good.

But winning shouldn??™t have been impossible."

He really touched on the number of open looks from 3-point land that BU allowed.

"But as we have seen over and over and over through this decade of Bradley basketball, there was more talk than action."

"Tuesday night, the Braves reminded us how bad they can be. Also, where and why this program is stuck."

I think his last two points are actually quite factual. Whether you blame injuries or not, I do believe this program is stuck.

You can talk about facilities, injuries, transfers, coaches, etc.....all of them are real and legitimate. However, Bradley is clearly stuck and not moving in an upward direction.

I am sure all BU fans are concerned about that.

Good read. All true facts. Now KW is in trouble again with all the people who are satisfied with status quo. We'll all know in 3 weeks. Last night was very disappointing. Its like they tease us and get our hopes up then The Dec . Jan bunch come back. Still time lets go on a streak ,win the tourney , get a bid and drink our kool-aid.

Well, will have to give KW some credit then for being persistent....if not for being accurate or fair....

And you've had these discussions with Kirk Wessler? He has told you he has wanted Jim Les fired for nine years?

I've never heard him say that in his columns or in the personal conversations I've had with him. Has he told you any differently in your conversations?

Let's stick to what people actually think, not what we think they think. Seems logical.

I don't know KW, so I don't know if he's wanted him fired for 9 years or not. I doubt he wanted him canned from about 2006-2008, but who knows. The only person I recall asking for Jim's dismissal then was Kyle Whelliston, and that guy is an uninformed nutjob. But I don't see much in this particular article that's factually incorrect, and I think most of his observations are accurate. I'm sure I will be accused of being biased or having an 'agenda', but I am not and I don't. If I am biased it's towards giving BU the benefit of the doubt in most instances, and wanting us to be a great basketball program year in, year out.

It stinks that we are all at each other's throats like this. No one to blame, it just stinks. I am as guilty as anyone of it. I just wanna win.

I do know him..and believe he gave JL too much rope...

Lets summarize the 9 years according to the TPTB

                    KW no fair
                    KW no like Jimmy
                    KW love Wayne

Gimme a break. He never said he wanted wayne, although I believe he would tell you we would have been better off with wayne than Jimmy.

                    PS
Kirk if you can take a buyout congrats.

IMO, he just wished JL wasn't the coach that took the Braves to the Big Dance.

I didn't like the comment that said something to the effect of "They're good, but it shouldn't have been impossible to win." I don't even know what it means. It is still not impossible to beat UNI at home. We just didn't do it last night. Confused by the use of the word "impossible."

I think "impossible" is a counter to JL's victim mentality , it was impossible for us to win because UNI made so many shots they normally don't make.

Chico, that statement is just plain wrong. I'm not speaking for KW but I do know he wants BU to achieve much more then we have. He is not a BU hater , in fact just the opposite he just wants us to challenge for league titles more then every 15 years or whatever its been. We are all or most all on here BU fans and want the same thing. Contend for a title most years if not all.

I knowing someone personally who used to work at the PJ Star, and he just texted me this -

"Will you tell the people on BradleyFans that KW is the biggest Bradley honk ever?"

KW is an alum. He doesn't want BU to fail.
