I am one of the few who thinks JL has done a good job of recruiting, especially guards.
We have DSE & WL who could be All-Valley players before their college careers end, and JP could be pretty good too.
Agree with 2 out of 3. Love DSE & JP but don't see WL as all Valley until he gets a shot. Love his desire, hustle and ability to get to the rim,but his shooting farther then 7' leaves alot to be desired. It can be done but is going to take alot of time in the gym this summer. I cringe when he rises for a 3 but no more then when Will used to shoot his three. If WL improves his shot as much as Will then maybe he has a chance to be all Valley someday. Sure would like to see him improve his shot as much as James from UNI did.
Mismatches go both ways...when JP and WE were in at the same time...we were winning that battle...when JP left the game we were up 6 I believe...you know what happened after that...who did that = - thing on bigs playing...would like to see that stat from last night...JP really opened up Will on the outside...
That was the biggest problem with taking Pross out of the game last night. When Will is the lone big man, he is far less effective IMO, and ur right, just having to pay attention to Prosser makes Will way more effective. I understand what Les was thinking last night, he was trying to shore up the dribble penetration, and didn't think he could do that with 2 bigs out there chasing guards, problem was, we didn't do any better job after he took Pross out of the game.
Just to let you guys know a young man that I had the pleasure of coaching at Peoria Christian was killed in a car accident yesterday...I am sure the Mooberry family would appreciate prayers lifted on their behalf...
Time will tell. Everyone is hoping you are right about DES, WL, JP and the future recruits...coming in.
Same all felt about AT, WE, MK, JE, AD, DC, DN, and EM as recruits and first year players.
Not sure about WL, but sure finds ways to score and he's lightning quick. When I've watched him 1-on-1, he's a solid defender and doesn't back down on his man. Yes, his shot needs work - a lot. He does have a nice arc on his shot. Just needs to get the right touch. He has a nice fade-away 15 footer too. I also likes his confidence, which is lacking in a few of our guys.
Only time will tell, but hopefully he stays in a BU uniform for 3 more years.
JP needs a sweet nickname.. Pross, Hoss, and Boss are all pretty easy ones, but I'd like something better or more distinctive.. Any ideas? According to wikipedia Prosser is either Welsh or German. Not sure which his origin is. Not so many Welsh around Central Illinois, so if he's German we could go with something like The Kaiser or The Baron. Buh, I dunno, I feel unskilled in the ways of nicknaming.

I just wanted to give a shout out to #44 Jordan Prosser. He has showed tremendous improvement. The young man works hard on the boards, has been finishing underneath (and what a dunk last night!), and has been playing improved defense. I feel, like many, he deserves more minutes, but the point of this post isn't to nitpick a coach's decision, but to give praise where it's due.
On a side note, DSE seems to really have a knack for finding Jordan when he's cutting and making solid passes. They are becoming quite the fun combo to watch.
Yup, I hate I told ya so, but I told ya so. Prosser was a bigtime get for Les. I've posted here before, last year, that JP could easily be all-MVC by his junior year. He came in a better offensive player than WE was and will only continue to unfold that part of his game. I didn't say develop, I said unfold, because he already has it. JP was underrated by many on this board who said his small school competition would hurt him. It will and has not.
