Its a cross we must bear canadian

    3 refs, 1 kirk, 1 canadian, 1 srw, 5 opposing players.

Makes you realize how awesome are players are to have won as many games as they have.

If JL is despised by the officials, he earned it (BTW, I am not sure we are even on the radar to be despised by anyone except reggie redbird)

I really hope Les, Cross, and/or Glasser are letting Elgin and the MVC know that this is total BS!

      • Quick scan of box scores for the last 3 years shows BU has been given 3 team Ts this year and the oppotision 1.

Last year BU 2 Opp 0
        2 years ago BU2 Opp 0

For the last 3 years 7 to 1 Ts on the bench. Heck yes the officials are looking to T up JL. But IMHO he earns it with the way he growls at every call all night.

Another thing. There are people on here that claim the official following the play was not watching the play he was watching Les. Why were you looking at the official and not the play? I find that hard to believe.

        Pick your battles Jim.

The official around the scorers table had told both coaches on an occasion to get back in their coaching box...he had then told Les to sit down and shut up less than a minute before the T...while not complete professional, also not out of the realm in how officials interact these days...

Then the foul came and Jim started chirping at that same official...it was at this time that Janssen turned around to pay attention to Les and interject himself in the action...

Janssen then made a gesture as to tell Les to just walk away and it was at that point Les said the four letter magic word and boom T time...

I'm not saying Les was completely in the wrong, but as always, he couldn't have picked a much worse time to get a T...
Les always seems to get his T"s during the last 4 minutes of the game which puts our team in a hole that they do not have enough time to climb out of, the play in question was when Jake dove on the floor toward a loose ball that the UNI player was able to control and Jake was on his knees when he swatted at the ball and accidentally caught the UNI player in the face with a hand which was clearly a foul, Les was told to sit down and chose not to and once again yelled something out and then Jansen turned around and T"d him.

???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Might be metric. Canadian probably goes to only 39.37 college games per year!

Every venue has agitators. You can believe the "T" had something to do with the fans but nothing could be farther from the truth. Jim got the "T" because of his antics. He said something and gave him that arm wave showing his dislike for the call. Officials would never call a "T" on a fan for saying something. Throw them out of the arena, you bet but never "T" them. Their career would be very short in any league not just the Valley.

But to say Les got a T because of Mark Scott is absolutely absurd!
You are exactly right!!! But i do think Mark Scott acts like a complete buffoon at the games!!! Officials do not call T'S on coaches because of fan behavior!!! They are human and probably think what a looser,i should throw this guy out of here!! Mark Scott got told to sit down at the ISU game because of his insane classless behavior late in the game!!

                  • I want to go on record saying I don't know what league officials think of JL but I bet I could come pretty close to knowing what they think. The coach official relationship is very simple. I'll let you coach you let me work.It is just that simple. If a coach complains about every whistle he loses his creditability. Again simple as that. Its not rocket science. I've never done or seen an official run down the court and just start yelling at a coach for no reason at all. Jim has been here 9 years and countless whistles. How many calls were changed because he complained. I'll answer my own question ZERO. If he spent more time coaching and less time officiating maybe our scoreboard wouldn't show us finishing 2nd so often. Just a thought from someone who has been there, not just guessing what they think.

                    • JL talks all the time about accountability. It would seem to me that he doesn't apply that to himself when it comes to referees. How else do you explain late game T's when the game is still very much in doubt. As a die hard Bradley fan for over 47 years I can't recall another BU coach, including Versace and Molinari, who is as hard on the refs as JL is. When you get a T for stomping your foot at one of your own players that is simply on reputation. When you get a T after being told by the refs to shut up that's accountbility and after 9 years as head coach you would think JL would have learned that by now.

Intelligent people realize what those two say have no bearing on much of anything really. They are entertainers. Nothing more, nothing less. Much like Keith Olbermann is.
Oh well then you don't listen to those two, do you?

If you listen to either of them, particularly Rush, he plays plenty of sound bites of liberals who can't stand him and will blame them of everything wrong with this country. This is no secret, and these are not "doctored" sound bites. Every one of them could be verified with a little simple research.

Btw, while all of the people you mention are entertainers, (meaning that they rise above the rest of their competition by presenting politics in a style that makes them attractive to more listeners), there is no doubt that they are utmost serious in what they believe and what they are trying to say. So to say that they are "nothing more, nothing less" is reflective on how little you know about the impact that these people make on society. This is not a personal jab against you, just the reality of the situation.

Now without getting onto a political tangent, you ask how this is all relevant to the topic at hand? Well, the same type of people who blame all of society's woes on Limbaugh, Palin or Olbermann are the same type of people who blame all of Bradley's woes on Les. Nothing more simple than that.

I do think it is appropriate to identify fans who want Jim Les fired as anti-JL, and I am guilty of that. I guess I can understand when fans get angry, but it is not correct or appropriate to accuse or imply that it's the fault of other fans, or to denigrate other fans who don't agree.
