    Cmon guys!

Didn't you know that everything is rainbows and butterflies?!

    Don't worry!

All is well and wait til next year because we'll be back and take rightful control of 5th place...

Well, if someone doesn't get hurt for a long period of time, and if our new recruits step in nicely, and if our defense shows up, and if we stop wearing the black jerseys, and if our current guys continue to develop, and if we can replace AW's production, and if the other teams don't reload with other talent, and if everyone will get of Jim's back and let him coach....

But hey, it's all rainbows and butterflies right...

Again we see the mocking post, exaggerating to an extreme anything that opposes the beliefs of fans who want a coaching change.
Where does anyone say all is rainbows and butterflies?

We simply are not going to allow much more of this inane tactic. That would be the same as me accusing you of wanting Jim Les fired halfway through the 2nd half when he got the technical. Or saying that you have accused Jim Les of losing every game in Bradley history.
Can't we maintain a little bit of rationality? There is room for both sides of this.

Regardless of whether or not a person wants Les to stay, it is true that outsiders believe he's been a failure. When failures aren't replaced, it is assumed the University doesn't care about the product.

I don't know how much respect is really worth, but that's where we are now.

That is a question for ISU. I personally don't care what happens there. I care about Bradley. However, if Jank were fired I would understand why.

Also, where did I say anything about being fired? The post was about expectations, not firing.

Agreed. Do you promise to not keep dropping "JL hater" or "anti BU" labels on people? I know I will do my part.

I don't believe you find me using those terms regularly like we have seen numerous insults thrown daily in the direction of those who do not go along with the fire the coach crowd.

I do think it is appropriate to identify fans who want Jim Les fired as anti-JL, and I am guilty of that. I guess I can understand when fans get angry, but it is not correct or appropriate to accuse or imply that it's the fault of other fans, or to denigrate other fans who don't agree.

Jim Les protested one of the many bad calls by simply declaring the call bad (using a word that's heard commonly in the college game).
Many, many coaches use that exact same word non-stop and never get "T'ed" up for it...so I think the refs action was really, really unreasonable and just another example of the god-like ego that those guys exhibit.

Fair enough. I personally will not insult anyone. You have my word.

We do disagree on your "anti-JL" definition. That's why I don't think its fair to use it.

I guess here is my belief. I am always going to lean towards what is best for the program. If that means a change in direction at the head coach position, then I would be in favor of that. It has nothing to do with me being "anti" the person who has the job. It's not a personal thing to that.

I was anything but "anti" Jim Molinari. I love the guy. Personally and for what he did as the head basketball coach. But when he was let go I understood the decision and believed it probably was time for the move.

In no way was I ever "anti" Jim Molinari. Just as I am not personally "anti" Jim Les. I am, and always will be, what is "pro" the long term success of the program. The individuals change, the program is still there.

                  Make sense?

or we could be like the standard media and blame any bad occurrence on what Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh says...

Huh? One--not sure how this is relevant to Bradley basketball. Two--I have no idea what you are talking about. I listen to, read, follow a decent amount of media and not once have I heard anyone blame anything on what Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh says. Intelligent people realize what those two say have no bearing on much of anything really. They are entertainers. Nothing more, nothing less. Much like Keith Olbermann is.

Its not the intelligent you have to worry about.
                        Can we start winning soon?

I wasn't at the game but it's apparent that JL doesn't get any respect from the refs. I do think he brought some of this upon himself by complaining too much face to face about way too many calls early in his career...and now he has no leash whatsoever...especially for a 9 year coach in the MVC

The official who called the technical was standing across the court, and downcourt from Jim at about the level of the top of the key. He should have been paying attention to what was going on, but he was also getting an earful from a certain fan right there who likes to ride the refs. I think the technical was payback for a number of previous things that ref didn't like coming from Jim and the fan(s).

I think its a stretch to say an official gave Jim Les a technical in a crucial part of the game because some fan was giving him grief. These guys are professional and hear stuff all the time from fans. The fan/fans had nothing to do with it.

yeah...I don't know about divisive.....I do think he was the most controversial hire in recent basketball BU history...much because of the process and no experience
