Jank and Co. gave JW an opportunity to play more on the perimeter. It would be easy to pull up game film of Champ Oguchi to show what an oversized wing could do in Jank's offense. Sure, he is struggling right now; most first-year players hit a wall at some point in the season.

So do a number of ISU fans who have some insight into the program.
Here is a discussion from the Redbird fan board about this.
Puzzle pieces don't fit.....
One of the ISU players (Zeke Upshaw) posted this on his Facebook page-
"there are some knuckleheads on this team that need to be gone."
And the ISU poster says: I almost hope this is true. Gives me some hope that any turds can get flushed out of the program, and brighter days will be ahead.
People can draw their own conclusions.

Might have to check your source on that coach. My source actually says that Wilkins is extremely happy to be at ISU and usually looks like the only one smiling on the team. As far as body language goes, thats how he has looked all season (I'm pretty sure I may have posted about this on bradleyfans not too long ago). He looks very awkward in that tall and long body of his and like 45 mentioned could really use a good summer in the weight room to fill it out (same goes for ekey). I will agree that something does not look right with his shot lately. Earlier in the season he was showing a really nice stroke from 3 and now he has this weird leg kick. Other than that, once he fills out and is able to bang underneath, he should have a pretty versatile game (same goes for Ekey).
That upshaw quote was actually from a while ago. To be honest, I am pretty surprised the team has been holding it together as long as they have. Rumor is a possible fight breaking out in practice though according to redbirdfans, but is not too surprising considering some of the things Trey Blue has been saying about the team in the pantagraph after the loss against Indiana St. last week. As far as players leaving, it happens to all teams, but I would be surprised if wilkins was one of them. He seems to really enjoy ISU. As far as him being upset about being "janked" from a starting role, I am pretty sure the players have gotten used to Janks crazy rotations this year. It seems that he is not really riding it out with any set groupings, but rather going with the hot hand on any given game. I fully expect guys like Wilkins, Ekey and Carmichael to be the core of the program next season. (all 3 had bad games and even Carmichael rode the bench a lot and has not started on occasion)
The result of this game can be pinpointed to a couple of possessions in the second half where MSU went from a 4 point lead to a 10 pt lead and then maintained from there. I think it may have been a couple poorly timed turnovers and a couple back to back 3's by weems. Other than that, this game was pretty even and ISU was playing pretty hard and some decent Def IMO.
