    THE STORYLINE
Despite Wednesday's loss at league co-leader Missouri State, in which the Braves led with just over five minutes remaining, Bradley will try to carry its recent positive surge into Saturday's annual Hall of Fame Game against Evansville ... Bradley is 15-2 all-time at home against Evansville and has won seven straight at home in the series ... With a 70-67 win against Bradley Jan. 23 already in the books, Evansville will be shooting for its third regular-season series sweep against the Braves and the first sweep since 2002-03.
    HALL OF FAMERS
Three individuals will be inducted into the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame during halftime Saturday night.
Paul Herzog ... Herzog has served as the Bradley Basketball public address announcer for 35 years and has participated in 507 Braves home games.
Mary Ellen Hill-Schupbach ... A four-time All-American and 10-time Valley individual champion in cross country and track, Hill-Schupbach led the Bradley women's cross country team to the first conference title (199 for any female sport in school history.
Dewey Kalmer ... Bradley Baseball coach from 1980-2008, Kalmer owns more wins (842) than any coach in Bradley Athletics history.
    SATURDAY PROMOTIONS
In addition to the Hall of Fame festivities, the first 5,000 fans in attendance Saturday night will receive a drawstring bag, courtesy of Methodist Medical Center ... Basketball players Will Egolf, Walt Lemon Jr., Sam Maniscalco and Charonn Woods will be available for postgame autographs behind Section 6 ... Two ticket promotions will be available only at the Carver Arena and Renaissance Coliseum box offices Saturday: a $16 Family Pack (2 adults and 2 youth) and the $4 Ceiling Fan special for the top 10 rows at Carver Arena.
    AGAINST EVANSVILLE
Saturday's game will be the 38th meeting in the all-time series between Bradley and Evansville, which dates back to a two-year, non-conference series during the 1986-87 and 1987-88 seasons ... Bradley owns a 22-15 lead in the all-time series, including a 15-2 advantage at Carver Arena ... Bradley has won seven straight home games in the series, its longest active home winning streak against another Valley rival ... Despite a 70-67 loss Jan. 23 in Evansville, Bradley has won nine of the last 11 meetings overall ... Ninth-year Bradley head coach Jim Les owns an 11-6 record against Evansville, a 71 home record against the Purple Aces and a 5-2 record head-to-head versus fourth-year Evansville head coach Marty Simmons.
    PAINT POINTS
Bradley has outscored the opposition, 632-562, in the paint this season, highlighted by a 46-14 advantage Wednesday night at Missouri State ... Bradley has won the paint fight in six of the last seven games with a total 238-150 margin.
    FEWER THREES
The sacrifice the Braves have made to control the paint has led to a big discrepancy in 3-point shooting ... The opposition has made more 3-point field goals than Bradley in six of the last seven games, outscoring the Braves by a 58-26 margin from behind the arc in those seven outings.
    CALENDAR EFFECT
January has by far been the coldest month for ninth-year Bradley head coach Jim Les ... The Braves are 33-51 (.393) in January under Les, while playing 51 of those 84 games without the likes of Phillip Gilbert (missed nine January games due to injury), Jeremy Crouch (eight), Daniel Ruffin (six) Will Egolf (eight), Andrew Warren (eight), Dodie Dunson (10), Dyricus Simms-Edwards (two), Taylor Brown (10) and Sam Maniscalco (10) -- 71 individual games missed ... Aided by its 2-1 record so far this month, February is Les' winningest month (38-28, .576) and is second only to November (.660) by percentage ... Not coincidentally, the Braves have been without the above nine players for just 23 February games due to injury: Warren (11), Egolf (eight), Dunson (nine), Brown (3) and Maniscalco (3) -- 34 individual games missed -- though Brown and Maniscalco will not return this season.
    CHANGING TREND
In Bradley's first 12 league games, the Braves dug themselves deep first-half holes by averaging just 25.1 points on collective 38.4 percent (114-297) shooting from the field in the opening half ... In the last two games, however, Bradley has taken the halftime lead by averaging 35.5 points on a combined 54.7 percent (29-53) shooting from the floor.
    THE TURNOVER STORY
Turnovers have been a telling statistic in Bradley's outcomes this season ... Bradley is 7-5 when it commits fewer turnovers than the opposition, but 1-12 when they commit at least as many turnovers as the opposition this year ... In Bradley's eight wins, the Braves have averaged just 11.6 turnovers per game, while forcing an average of 16.9 turnovers by the opposition ... In the 17 losses, however, Bradley's turnover average is slightly higher at 13.2 per game, but the Braves have forced only 11.5 miscues ... The Braves are forcing only 10.7 turnovers in conference action ... Further compounding the issue, the opposition has outscored Bradley 190-157 in points off turnovers in the first 14 conference games.
    LOOKING AHEAD
Bradley will complete a two-game home stand by hosting defending league champion Northern Iowa in a 7 o'clock game Tuesday night at Carver Arena ... The game against the Panthers will be televised by the MVC-TV Network and will air live on FS Midwest, Comcast SportsNet Chicago and FS Kansas City ... Following Tuesday's game, Bradley's last three games will be played against teams with a combined 30-45 (.400) overall record -- at UT-Martin (8-17), at Illinois State (11-14) and home versus Drake (11-14) -- including a combined 12-29 (.293) conference record.

Despite the poor record I think there will be a good crowd. I'll be there - Looking forward to it. I think BU wins this one by 10. They're playing their best basketball of the season.
      Onward and Upward!

Someone must have hacked into BB's BF.com log on ID/Password!

Time for BU to "Trump" the Aces, or perhaps, throw a "Royal Flush" at the Aces....

Let's get back to our winning ways!

BU's season has been comprised of streaks ALL year (winning/losing). Let's hope that changes tomorrow! (since 1 L in a row does not consist of a "streak" really)

Play like you did at MSU, Braves, and you'll come out with a W!

Sat is a must win in MY book to help legitimize the improved play the last 3 games.....

I hope the crowd returns as sort of a "reward" for the teams inspired play as of late.

Weather should not be a factor.....no football.....no excuses.
