  • Better TV coverage of March Madness

Today (2/10/11) the NCAA will release their full TV schedule for CBS and Turner Sports. The biggest change will be that all games will be televised live and in their entirety across four national networks: CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.
This will be great for fans who want to watch a specific game and not be bothered by switching back and forth, cutting out to cover a different game, or missing coverage entirely because a "better" game is preferred by the network. Plus, game times are expanded and are more staggered to make it easier to switch back and forth yourself to follow more than one game at a time, watch a greater number of games, or see different halftime or pregame coverage.
In addition to the CBS crew that does a great job, we also get to see
TNT host Ernie Johnson and TNT's Inside the NBA analysts Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith doing analysis of games.

    It's about time!

A lot of the problems of having a single network televise them all are naturally being solved now. No more late afternoon awkwardness of having a single game with little TV coverage!

I am attaching a pdf of the schedule that I obtained from Turner Broadcasting. I am going to the games in Chicago (Fri/Sun), so I am a bit upset that our games could go late into the night on Sunday, but we will deal with it.

I'm a big fan of this move, might as well call in sick now and apologize to the wife.

What a coincidence, so will I (unless Bradley gets an NCAA bid ). We are staying at the new Trump Tower on the strip, how about you, JD? All the hotel rates are unusually high that week, and it is usually one of Las Vegas' busiest weeks for tourism and gambling. Let's hope for some nice warm weather!

The rates were very high. I was not too happy with that. We are staying at the Tropicana....which I hope is nice. I know they just did $180 million in renovations.

But to be honest, I will be in the sports book most of the time anyway.

I am hoping for some nice warm weather as well!

Let me know how the Trump Tower is. I have stayed in about 7 or 8 different places on the strip. Always looking for something new.
