I was only using the term in reference to this case of Heath Schroyer. And in this case, "hate" might not even be strong enough. Have you read some of the articles, blogs, and message board topics regarding him? Their fans do appear to hate him intensely, criticizing him not only for every facet of coaching and recruiting, but his actions, his clothes, his speech, and even his slicked back hair.

Then again, maybe there are parallels with Bradley-

Today, the only rivalry between Les and ISU’s Tim Jankovich appears to be over who uses more goop to slick back his hair.

I like the slicked hair. Basketball coaches are the only people keeping the 80's stockbroker look alive.

Here's the deal, Wyoming for football, Bradley for basketball.

Maybe his basketball team was not that good, (though he did have the makings of a good young team in a year or two). But, "Oh the HORROR" that he was good at getting kids in class, with most getting good grades to top it off!

Isn't that what college is supposed to be about???

Of course that's what college is about. Why else would I be in the 19th grade?? But college basketball is about a bigger package than that. Is the system socially optimal for the young men? Of course not, but a college coach has to win and do just enough in terms of academic success. Character was a bigger deal here because of the previous coaching regime, but you guys are way overestimating the prospects of this team in the next few years.

I had forgotten that comment -- but obviously DR never bothered to look at Jank this season -- as he's chosen to go the other way and adopted a slightly poofier fluffy look with a little less of a slickered look.....
