What the "bleep" was that Doritos commerical??? The guy is licking his friend's fingers to "experience" the chip residue on his hands, and THEN he takes his friend's pants and sniffs it! How did that pass the censors?! Repulsive!

Only the Bud Light "Hack Job" commerical was decent so far.

Well I thought that went WAY over the top, but to each his own. I have a feeling this will be a commerical that you either love or hate, with very little in between.

Not a commercial but I got to tell you. I did not care for Christina Aguilera's version of the National Anthem one bit. To much of her own personalization and drama injected. And that was my opinion even before she blew the lyrics. Not the kind of publicity you want for sure. Unbelievable.

Imo just give me Whitney Houston EVERY year. Best version ever.

I agree, very lame commercials this year and the Dorito one topped them all!

You are correct. It was a disaster and a disgrace. Another national anthem bastardized by yet another self-centered yodeler. (And a lousy one at that.)

I would take the US Marine Corps Marching Band over any famous singer in the world in a heartbeat. I have always felt that instrumental versions of the song are better. No one can throw in their own twist if its instrumental.

Made me chuckle because Cars was on yesterday and there's the morning flag raising scene where Sarge's traditional musical Banner flag raising is "interrupted" by Philmore blasting the Hendrix version of the Banner(also instrumental....)

                      Commercials were largely lame IMHO..

                      Eminem now a commercial hack?

The Darth VAder VW commercial was cute...

Doritos finger licking was weird as was the "Cram IT In the Boot" Interesting double entendre undertones...
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

I guess I am puzzled why people want to watch the commercials...they are literally suckering for exactly what the marketers want...eating right out of their hands...
I still use the commercial breaks for a whole lot more important things...

Having been "in the business" for a long time in a previous life, I have a natural interest in watching the commercials. But, I have a similar, negative reaction to the interminable, pre-game/talking heads programming. I watch golf or basketball until almost kick-off time. Changed channels too soon yesterday and suffered through the alleged national anthem.

The person who sung the National Anthem should be embarrassed that she sang the song wrong and said the wrong words.

How freaking hard is it to know what your singing?

Anyway the whole thing from the multipule singers of songs at the begining to some hack singing the anthem to some other hack trying to sing at half time has gotten old and out of hand.

How about just introducing the teams have a good singer sing the right words to the national anthem and then play the game. And no half time show at all or have a great college band play OSU, TX A&M etc.

with the fiasco's the past few years like Janet Jackson, Prince, and now the lackluster performance this year by the Black Eyed Peas...
(read some of the reviews...most thought they were bad)

they really ought to just realize that it is NOT the Hip Hop, teenybopper, pop-music crowd that make up the biggest part of the viewers..
I think the largest part of the middle class, middle age and older people who I know make up a huge part of their audience - might prefer some halftime talent more to their liking..
Maybe I am a bit old fashioned, but I think if they just had a halftime show of talent from each of the past 3 or 4 decades (maybe pick a couple from the Eagles, Phil Collins, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Springsteen, Beyonce, and hey -- maybe even an oldie like Willie Nelson or Whitney Houston)

I think they can hit a home run with a lineup like that.....
