also in the article is a note about the MVC scheduling and officials that is interesting-

MVC coaches voted last year to play on different nights this season in order to try to get the E-tier officials, considered the highest-rated in the country, before they go and call games in bigger leagues like the Big 10 Conference on weekends.
Moccia said SIU has gotten home games with some of the nation's best officials this season, but after seeing the attendance numbers, was not so sure he wanted the Valley to continue with that trade.
"We're getting higher-rated officials, but at the sacrifice of playing on a Tuesday or a Friday instead of a Saturday. ... I no longer think that's the proper course of action," Moccia said. "And I think the majority of coaches wanted to do this because of the officiating, but, at least the ADs I talked to, we're going to look to go into the direction we were in before."

Despite a good game by Brown-Surles, that link says that Lowery wanted to call a time out in the final 4 seconds, but that Brown-Surles "panicked" and threw up a wild half-court shot instead.
But, then in a strange comment -- Lowery seems to slam the refs, saying he thinks the ref should have given a time out because of something he had said before the play about wanting a time out at half court.

"We told him to call timeout and we didn't want to waste it," Lowery said. "We
wanted to get (the ball) to half court. It's his first time in that situation and he
panicked.
"I told those guys that we were going to call a timeout at half(court) and when
you tell a ref that, they usually give it to you. But, it's neither here nor there."

Of course all the second-guessers on the Saluki board have really ripped Lowery for not calling a timeout there. Even Frank seemed to criticise it on the TV broadcast. But now we learn he intended to, but Brown-Surles (who was easily their best player yesterday) fumbled the ball and panicked and launched an impossible shot.

Nice job Braves....we still need to get a little more consistent play from WE, JP(emphasis mine), Walt, & Jake..but I'll take a win in Carbondale any time, any way...

Maybe you could be a little more specific. Are you looking for more scoring from Pross? Through yesterday, as a redshirt Freshman he is averaging 10.35 rebounds and 9.4 points per 40 minutes. He grabbed 10 rebounds (5 offensive 5 defensive) in 28 minutes in this win. For a team that struggles on the boards, he is the one bright spot. I suspect that his offensive output will improve as he gains experience and matures, but I think his huge contribution on the glass alone makes a compelling case to keep him on the floor. I'm looking forward to his next three years at Bradley as he develops (and from earlier posts, I know you are too).

I am happy to have Jordan. He has been a huge bright spot for Bradley this year. He is our best rebounder. I hope he starts looking to expand his offensive game a little more. I saw him in high school, and he is a very good mid-range shooter with a high release point. That is something Bradley could use.

He needs to have more stamina as he is coming out of games because of fatigue, I am happy about his overall play because he is getting better and hopefully our trainer can do the same things with him like he did with J.C. over the summer as far as increasing his quickness and agility.

Do those stats take into account the amounts of tips JP has? Not all of them go in, but he has had quite a few tip-ins this year. The kid is solid for a redshirt freshman and I'm looking forward to having him the next 3 years.

I think JP is doing very well - but we need to get him the ball more --- almost all his production is off rebounds and created himself...
but he still seems a bit intimidated and short-arms a few of those short shots...
a good inside scoring threat would go a long way to opening up a few better shots elsewhere
