we talked about this some time ago -- he used a junior high school gym 20 miles away from Young HS, as a practice facility --even inviting some of their middle school players to attend - just so he could get contact with and "recruit" certain talented junior high kids into coming to Whitney Young

This is the 2nd time he's been suspended for illegal recruiting by IHSA...hmmm....

A childhood friend who coaches HS hoops has told me that we don't know the half of what goes on in the CPL as far as player recruitment shenanigans.

Exactly what rule did he break?

He held practices for Whitney Young HS players at suburban middle school. The IHSA ruled that this was recruiting the younger players, which is against IHSA rules.
