  • Larry Drew II leaves UNC

Go get him Jimmy! I always felt he was over-matched and the weak link for UNC. He'd thrive at a mid-major like BU.

In a jarring February development, North Carolina point guard Larry Drew II has left the Tar Heels team and will transfer.

I don't follow other teams much. But wondering why he would leave UNC before their big game with Duke tomorrow. If he has to sit out a year after transferring, why not play-out the season at UNC

If he transfered to another D-I school he'd sit out a year and then have just a senior season?

Yes, he would have to sit out all of next season, then have just 1 year left.
Drew is shooting 20.7% from three this season, and averages only 4.4 points per game. He is a career 54.5% free throw shooter.

Does Bradley really need a 1-year transfer who can't shoot?

No we need a shooting guard.
