Why would I want to leave all this? Off at noon today and likely not open tomorrow. Just had our second lightning strike as I was typing. Time to watch the Fragile Illini.

Be curious to see how many Illini fans turn out. Thundersnow is some weird far out stuff.

AZ. Thundersnow is not so bad, it's a "dry" snow

I was out blowing my driveway when it hit. Had to come in and change my pants. By the way not going to finish it till its done tomorrow. Will hope young kids come by tomorrow wanting to make a little money. Anyone heard of any loss of power yet?

There's very few people at the Illini game. It looks like less than 3000.

I live on a hill and tried to plow my drive tonight but had to give up once I got up the hill after getting stuck a couple of times in snowdrifts! That wind was overwhelming!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Here in Kirksville, MO my car is fully under snow due to the snow drifts. My fiance works at walgreens here in town and they were open because the manager didnt want to call the district manager, that was the only reason anyone knew of, pretty ignorant if you ask me.

We arent getting the thundersnow though that would make this storm even more epic!

12-20 inches of snow down here in Tulsa...all time record...nobody's going anywhere for days. Most of the few plows they have here are stuck, and with the wind, it didn't matter anyway. We had thundersleet, and then thundersnow last night. At least up there, it'll be back to normal within 2-3 days...it'll take a lot longer than that here. I'm a meteorologist and can't get to work tonight at 10...the evening shift couldn't either, so the day shift has to cover all the shifts...they couldn't get home anyway.

But on the bright side, I'm watching the Braves right now, and they have a 5 point lead and I think they'll probably hang on to win 69-61...

Just talked to my neighbor who drive a snowplow for Peoria County. They took them off the roads at about 6 pm due to lack of visibility and overall just a dangerous situation. They won't be back out until 5 am. At this point this is the worst winter storm I've ever witnessed including any in the winters of 78 or 79.

Yeah the January '79 one in Peoria had been the worst one I'd ever experienced until last night and today's...never thought I'd experience my worst winter storm in Tulsa, OK of all places! I told friends in Peoria this would be one of their worst storms ever...guess I was right.

We officially have about 10 inches right now, and the forecast continues to be for up to 20 inches. If you double what we have right now it will be incredible. Can't see anyone going anywhere tomorrow or maybe the next day. Wind is still howling at around 40 mph.
