hmm...I saw the Asst.say something to JL after talking to AW...and Jl had to go midcourt just hear with..this was when Dodie caled the timeout on the floor...

Fun game to watch, we made a lot of toughness plays which we had not been making in other games, DSE went inside and made some nice layups, Andrew was his usual steady self making a big steal and converting it into a layup, very big play at that time, once Dodie made his 1st feethrow he got his confidence back and made the next 3, good team win against one of the teams I have learned to dislike because of their obnoxious fans at the tour.

We've developed a good strategy for winning - making the opponent change travel plans around and change the start time of the game

Seriously though, impressive. Not turning the ball over and not fouling does wonders for a team. I think we'd have to circle back to the first 4 games of the season to find as disciplined an effort.

Is this where I pull out the joke saying this would never happen if Altman were still there....

Ineresting article from Creighton Rivals site-

It seems there is a lot of bitterness toward Dana Altman for leaving without saying he is sorry, and some anger toward McDermott and his coaching. The Creighton players aren't spared a lot of blame, too-

I understood why (Coach Altman) was leaving the Jays, just look at the roster mess he left behind....

Coach McDermott was handed a group of underachieving players who do not know how to compete.

Heck, the wing players cannot pass the ball into the post with any consistency, a basic fundamental to the offense.

The most ill picked MVC Preseason Player of the Year (Kenny Lawson) ever disappears for long stretches in most games and would rather shoot threes than rebound.

I'll never forget....listening to former player after player question the heart and will of the guys wearing their old uniforms.

While our season has been a train wreck, is there any more disappointing or underachieving team in the league than Creighton? I see a bunch of players on their roster that I would love to have, and then I look at their record and scratch my head. That team shouldn't be 6-6 in this league.

Would UNI be the runaway league champ had Doug McDermott gone there?
