    THE STORYLINE
Suffering through its longest losing streak -- 11 games -- since 1955, Bradley will be gunning for its first Missouri Valley Conference win of the season Tuesday night when the Braves host Creighton ... Bradley has played this season shorthanded due to the medical conditions of preseason all-conference selections Taylor Brown (cardiac testing) and Sam Maniscalco (ankle) and the team's third preseason All-MVC pick, senior guard Andrew Warren, went down with a neck injury with just under 4 minutes remaining Sunday at Wichita State ... Warren, who leads The Valley in scoring at 18.9 points per game, is expected to play Tuesday ... Bradley's current 5-game home losing streak is the team's longest since a 6-game home slide from Feb. 8-Dec. 12, 1993.
    WITH A WIN
Bradley will ... Snap an 11-game overall losing streak and five-game home slide ... Earn its first Valley win of the season and its first win of 2011.
Creighton will ... Sweep the regular-season series versus Bradley for the third consecutive year ... Give head coach Greg McDermott a third straight win versus the Braves for the first time in his career.
    AGAINST CREIGHTON
Wednesday's game will be the 83rd in the all-time series between Bradley and Creighton, which dates back to a 52-46 Braves victory in a non-conference clash Feb. 13, 1941 at the Peoria Armory ... The Bluejays have won 19 of the last 23 meetings to take a 42-40 lead in the all-time series ... Creighton and Missouri State are the only two current Valley members with winning records against the Braves.
    COACHING MATCHUP
The dean of Missouri Valley Conference head coaches, ninth-year Bradley head coach Jim Les is 4-16 all-time against Creighton, 2-6 at home against the Bluejays ... First-year Creighton head coach Greg McDermott is 7-7 all-time against Bradley, but 1-5 all-time versus the Braves at Carver Arena ... McDermott, who is making his first Peoria visit as Creighton's coach, was 1-4 in Peoria as UNI head coach (2001-06) and 0-1 with Iowa State (2007).
    CALENDAR EFFECT
Including the last 10 games, January has by far been the coldest month for ninth-year Bradley head coach Jim Les ... The Braves are 33-51 (.393) in January under Les, while playing 51 of those 84 games without the likes of Phillip Gilbert (missed nine January games due to injury), Jeremy Crouch (eight), Daniel Ruffin (six) Will Egolf (eight), Andrew Warren (eight), Dodie Dunson (10), Dyricus Simms-Edwards (two), Taylor Brown (10) and Sam Maniscalco (10) -- 71 individual games missed ... As Bradley prepares to host Creighton Tuesday night, February has been Les' winningest month (36-27) and is second only to November by percentage (.571) ... Not coincidentally, the Braves have been without the above nine players for just 20 February games due to injury: Warren (11), Egolf (eight), Dunson (nine) -- 28 individual games missed -- though Brown and Maniscalco will not return this season.
    LOOKING AHEAD
Bradley will return to the road for four of its next six games, beginning Sunday afternoon at Southern Illinois ... Saturday's 2:05 p.m. game will be televised in Central Illinois on WTVP World ... The Braves will remain on the road for a Feb. 9 game at Missouri State that will be televised by the MVC on FS Midwest, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, FS Indiana, FS Kansas City and Fox College Sports.

This game is listed on ESPN3 I hope that's right.

I've got a good feeling that this is going to be a win, saw some good signs in the WSU game.

I just hope BU scores more points vs CU than fans in the stands Tues night, assuming the forecasted blizzard occurs as predicted!

I hope so too... there will not be many fans sitting in the stands Wednesday night, since the game is on Tuesday...

          OUCH! What a gaffe!

          Already corrcted!

Hopefully BU-PCC will get creative if the weather is bad tomorrow and tomorrow night:

Free hot dog for everyone who shows up (or two for one)
Free soda for everyone who shows up (or two for one)
Open seating in the Arena after 1st 10 min in FH...move on down!
Drawing for a free airplane trip for two to Florida/Arizona
Shuttles from more remote parking lots...
Post game autograph session with the players...

I am sure there are other incentives they can come up with to drive attendance!

I'd think if you drive to the game, you'd only want to park in a deck.

So what are the odds of this game being cancelled tomorrow night (and I don't mean because of how we are playing. )?

                HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I love relentless sarcasm!

We are +5 points at the open - something smells fishy.

I don't know. Creighton is one of those inconsistent middle tier teams (like us most years) that can beat good teams but lose to bad teams on any given night. So I think this is a winnable game for us. But outside of the bit of sarcasm on my part, I was seriously wondering if this game would be played in such dangerous conditions. So I would not be surprise if this game does get moved up to Wednesday or Thursday night after the snow is long gone.

Any guesses how small the crowd will be? I wonder if it will still be on tv and rebroadcast at its original time slot?

I have a feeling that there will be more people at the game today at 3pm than there would be if the game was still at 7.

Actually, it was never scheduled to be on TV, except in Omaha.

It was scheduled to be on ESPN3. Not sure if that is still the case with the new start time though...
