  • Bulls clobber defending NBA champs 108-66

An embarrassing beatdown of the Heat by the Bulls--

The Bulls looked very good and deep.

    Other NBA notes--
The Knicks, who were pathetic last year, released Jalen Rose.

The Knicks have the highest team salary by a large margin, almost $50 million more than the 2nd highest team. And almost 3 times the salary of the Bulls--

And the total number of former Missouri Valley Conference players on NBA rosters is 5.
3 are former Bradley players- Anthony Parker, Patrick O'Bryant, and Danny Granger.
The other 9 MVC teams combined have 2-- Kyle Korver (Creighton) of the 76ers, and Troy Hudson (SIU) of the Timberwolves. Hudson missed most of last year with a bad ankle injury, and may start the season on the injured list.

Wow, I watched a FULL NBA game for the first time in a couple years as the Bulls are really entertaining.
Usually I just can't stand the selfishness and ball hogging most NBA squads are notorious for. But tonight the Bulls really showed the world what good teamwork can do.

They double teamed Shaq every time he touched the ball and the combination of Tyrus Thomas and Ben Wallace simply shut Shaq down.
Shaq had only 3 baskets, 7 pts., and 5 rebounds.

Only DWade looked like an NBA player on the Heat squad, as everyone else (especially guys like Payton-4 turnovers, 4-assists, Posey, Quinn, Kopono, Hite) looked like they just don't belong in the NBA vs. the Bulls' defense.

On offense the Bulls pass well, had 22 assists, with every one of the twelve players who played getting at least one assist.

I am really impressed by the Bulls 2nd 2006 draft pick, Sefolosha.
He played 10 minutes, was 4-4, and 3-3 from the FT line, had 2 steals, 2 rebounds, and an assist.
He has long, quick arms and picked the Miami PG's pocket almost at will.

I might just enjoy NBA games this year!

Great post Tornado, and I agree - The Bulls do NOT play like your typical NBA team. They play great TEAM defense, use their defense to create turnovers, and play great TEAM offense. Everyone touches the ball, and everyone is involved in the offense. They pretty much play the opposite of your typical NBA team, and are going to be a real pleasure to watch this year.
      Onward and Upward!
