Losing 2 starters shouldn't make you have almost the worst season on record. I'm sure their is a coach out there that can bring talent out of this group.

Right on Jason! We saw what this group can do in the first 13-14 minutes of the game - a good coach has his team playing that way almost the entire game.

For 13 minutes we tried running an offense...

After that, we stood around and tried to find Drew every single time down...


We have spurts of good play, but we have 5x as many spurts of bad play...


I honestly am not sure exactly where you can place blame there, but let me say, our Sweet 16 team had the same exact issues we are seeing through 1/2 the season...

It was sarcasm, which doesn't come through on a screen. Point is, you cannot ignore injuries just because you don't want them to exist.

I thought the double T on Wilkins and AW was reasonable. I thought Wilkins was acting like an ***** for most of the game-- and having just an awful game, right up until that dagger 3. I don't blame AW for reacting like he did, he did actively shove Wilkins after Wilkins bumped him. It would have been better gamesmanship to tumble to the ground to sell the thing and get Wilkins the flagrant foul (and maybe tossed), but AW's human and if someone bumps me, I'll push him before I fall down.

Also thought the Carmichael T was justified, he was hanging for no reason for about a month.

As for the Jank T, I couldn't see the charge/block issue from where I sit, but while it sounds like Jank had a case his reaction was really over the top and probably T-worthy.

The Les T was absolutely ridiculous, not only had the refs completely missed an amazing travelling experience at mid court, but Les was very obviously yelling at Egolf to get up and go do his job on defense.

I don't think the refs "lost the game" for Bradley, but none of that evens anything out, at all. It took 2 points directly out of Bradley's lead with no time coming off and advanced the ball into Bradley territory which allowed ISU's well executed play to literally halve the lead. Even the weird clockdoom at the end of the game wouldn't allow me to put the refs in the equally bad territory if I talk about the number of FTs Jackie Carmichael took, the number of fouls Carmichael had at the end of regulation that weren't related to hanging on the rim (0!), the number of fouls Alex Rubin DIDN'T have despite his ridiculous mugging of whoever was bring the ball up on every play, or the Blake Mishler NBA superstar treatment in the first half. Then that brings us to the end of the game, when there was a very questionable call that gave ISU FTs and the lead despite good clean defense followed by the HUGE foul they put on Andrew Warren at the end of the game in the act of shooting-- you think he might have made 2 of 3? The refereeing in this game was disgusting, but it WAS in ISU's favor particularly at critical moments. I don't think it's a conspiracy or anything, but it was disgusting.

I hear you on that. I know we're supposed to ignore outliers with the officials, but there have been so many, and almost never have I come away feeling fortunate that the officials benefitted us that it erodes my ability to ignore it. It's like somebody's bumper doesn't have a sticker proclaiming contributions to the Fraternal Order of Referees.

Jim did NOT yell/stomp/stare at the refs is any way.

The ref didn't even LOOK at Jim.....until AFTER he made the call.

I understood the double T...Wilkins did a "weak" bump into Warren and warren SHOULD have just laughed it off but understand why he shoved back. I was just glad they got Wilkins becuase USUALLY its the 2nd guy that gets nabbed.

I didn't see that...I thought he blew past everybody and had an uncontested slam. I think he did a bit of a pullup and that will get you T'd most times. If they slam, hang, look down to make sure no one is below them they usually let it slide.

WHen you slam and you knees come up to your waist and above.....you B hangin.....

He did have an uncontested jam, but Egolf got his arm over Carmichael's shoulder and it might've been Eastman (I'll have to watch the replay again) coming in from the side either late to defend or knocked off a screen.

Either way, Carmichael had one guy on his back and out of the corner of his eye reason to think another could have been under him if he came straight down.

In fact, he and Egolf both would've gone down hard if he hadn't swung the way he did. And that probably would've been a foul on Will.
