I know there is frustration, but it is possible to voice opinions without stooping to this kind of derision.
Then DELETE IT! I am as much a proponent of the sacking of Les ASAP, but this was a little over the line!

EDIT: Oops, my bad, it was deleted after posting this. Good on ya. People like this make me angry.

Quite frankly, Les shouldn't have been that fired up, Bradley was within 1 possession of taking fouls the rest of the game. Les should have realized that BU was up by 8 points with 1:40 left and needed to keep his cool.

On that note, I don't plan on attending any more BU games until Les is fired. I can't stand his coaching style and multiple coaching mistakes every single game. Losing 2 starters shouldn't make you have almost the worst season on record. I'm sure their is a coach out there that can bring talent out of this group. Obviously they wouldn't arrive in enough time this season but plenty of time before next season. I've been to every BU home game the last 5 years and saddened that it has come to this point but that's just the way it is.

Yeah, missing two starters should hinder you, but there's no way it should prevent you from winning at least ONE Valley contest. Injury excuses can't be used anymore imo.

        I'm right with you...

I've never been so angry or said so many four letter words in my life at the close of a game...

Throwing money at an obviously failing product is a waste in my mind at this point and until something substantial takes shape, I will probably watch from afar and have my long time season tickets lapse...

I've just had it and no excuse he gives anymore am I going to agree with because it's not just one thing, it's a collective group of things over the years and this may have perhaps been the final straw...

Who yells at a guy trying to make a play anyways when you're up 8 with barely a minute to play?!

          ISU had the ball already.

Still waiting to see how this cost BU 4 points???

Good grief. The T on Carmichael for hanging on the rim cost ISU a 4-point swing, too.

How you you figure that? There was already a change of possession, so at most it cost 2 points.

I have been watching Valley basketball for a very long time and in that time there have been some bigtime badly officated games.

Last night was, atleast for me, the worst I have ever seen.

The charge call that got Jank the T was a joke, the T on Les a joke, the foul on DD at the end of the OT was terrible etc etc etc.

It was almost like the 3 just simply could not allow a posession to go by without blowing a whistle. In game contact, ie a bump 15 ft from the rim on a drive, with a players head down results in a whistle. Egolf gets a foul when we finally get a stop in OT trying to rebound.

Your going to call incredibly tick tack stuff yet Warren gets his arm held on the last OT possession and that all ball? It makes watching Valley basketball impossible. The league has to stop playing games on Wednesdays. They have to go to a Friday/Sunday, period.

The guy with the baldhead was simply over his head.

Anyway, Egolf has to be a lot smarter, he gets the ball in the frontcourt and tries to score when we didnt need points, Warren gives up the ball so DD can get fouled. No one can guard Hill.

This was a horrible basketball game for so many reasons but the worst reason was we did nothing in the last 1:30 to win this game.

BTW the T on Jank then gave Egolf a foul for what setting up to accept an interior pass? You make a terrible charge call after the play from the side looking through players. Get railed by Jank, who comes out of the box, goes on the court etc, then you call a flat out made up call on a guy who has position on the block.

Just horrible for so many reasons.

While I can agree with you on some coaching decisions and which player should or should not be on the floor at any given time, I have to disagree with you assessments regarding JL's technical foul. "Who yells at a guy trying to make a play anyways when you're up 8 with barely a minute to play"?
My answer would be 100% of the coaches in Division 1 or any level of coaching for that matter, who sees a player that needs to get to the other end of the floor to be in a position to make a play and a player who is letting a bad play get into his head with a momentary lapse in judgement.
                  Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

                    I completely disagree here...

Most coaches wait til practice or pull him aside the next time down...

Not many good ones are yelling at one of their guys up 8 with a minute to go when realization is, so what if they go down there 5 on 4 and make a shot...we're then up 6 with less than a minute to go and they have to foul....

Reality is, we didn't do a single thing right from the 4 minute mark and you can blame that on players, coaches, what have you, but we have made an absolute art out of losing games in every which way possible....

And at this point, I really don't think it matters much how the last 8 play out as we've cemented ourselves into Thursday night in STL and a short trip down and back.

they already had the ball when the T was called...so it was just two ft's I think

You had 2 bottom of the Valley teams....I guess it's only fair we have 3 of the bottom of the Vally officials.

I could have swore they made a basket after the T....making it a 4 point swing...would they have made a basket anyway? Don't know...but it changed momentum for sure...

Yeah, but they already had the ball.

So your using the argument that ISU wouldn't have scored except the tech gave them the momentum to score???

ISU had the ball already so all they gained was the 2 ft's.
