  • Dave Reynolds blog 1/25: Jim Les says "Jankovich is an *ss"

Not really. Jim Les was just joking at today's press conference as he compared the friendly rivalries today with the contentious relationship between Versace and Donewald-

Darn. I was hoping for some real rivalry talk.

At this point, I just want BU to win so I don't have to listen to my g/f (an ISU fan) brag about how much better her school is than Bradley. That's probably more intolerable than our 0-8 Valley record.

Hopefully, you can point to your paycheck as proof that BU is the superior school.

Perhaps we need to give the BU-ISU rivalry a little help:

ie Rumor has it the BU President alledgedly called ISU Administrators "Hillbilly's"...

ie Word is circulating Bradley Cheerleaders supposedly claimed ISU Cheerleaders should join the Jenny Craig program!

ie Jim Les has been rumored to have said Jankovich would be a better stockbroker than basketball head coach...

ie BU Students are thought to be asking the PCC staff to make sure any ISU student who attends the BU game wipe the manure off their shoes before they enter the arena...

ie Dr Cross is rumored to be asking the MVC to investigate the validity of the ISU ballplayers' degree programs...he is questioning the rigor of their "Remedial Grade School English and Math" Major at ISU

I'm really looking forward to whatever the Red Sea has in store for Wilkins tomorrow night. I am curious though....how familiar are the casual fans with the whole John Wilkins saga?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

If Jank had a sense of humor, he would of replied, "absolutely, the second line of my resume reads, *ss to Self"

I'm surely not a casual fan by most measures, but Wilkins can expect to be getting the business from me.

I'm not a casual fan either, but am friends with several who will be joining me tonight at the game. They'll remember Wilkins as a one time recruit, but don't care enough to show any hostility.

I'm guessing between time healing wounds, bad records, and a general casual fan apathy, that you won't hear much more than some garden variety booing. A far cry from the Frazier/Gordon shoulder bump in Champaign a few years back.

I'm just hoping for a big lively crowd and a BU win. At least have one good memory at home this year.
