  • Turning Back.... ?

While I am a BU Fan through and through and will always be, I've got to say, I have had to split my football (NCAA) Loyalties between Notre Dame, (U Hawaii Sometimes), and Texas/Oklahoma, obviously a Notre Dame FANATIC, but I follow the others because Hawaii can be watched late at night and I love the Big 12. EAT IT BIG 10. Anyway, I never thought I would split my Basketball loyalties, at least until I went to college, but I am finding it hard not to follow the same set of teams this year and split my loyalties with Bradley. I'll ALWAYS be a BU fan, but it's getting to the point where it's just not even fun anymore. Sorry, but I was wondering if others were turning to other teams/conferences this year, at least for comfort until we at least get our first W of the Con. season. I feel soooo alone and disloyal...
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

There's alot of BU fans that root for the Illini. Not many that admit it on this board, but there are quite a few out there. I'm one of them. Of course in the unlikely and rare event BU plays the Illini, I'm rooting for the Braves to beat their heads in. The Vegas game last year was awesome.

Nothing wrong with rooting for the Illini, I do it. I was at the Mich St. game Tuesday night rooting hard. But my primary allegiance (and my ticket purchasing) is, and always will be, with BU.

I always have a couple of under the radar team I root for based on what are usually very random qualifications. My back-up closet team last year was Utah State, who's actually a pretty good team. This year it's Colorado State. But I found out about USU w/ the help from a couple of youtube videos. Check 'em out if you wanna see what qualifications were meant.

They have one of the best home records in the country, and 4,000+ students in there per game.

The "Winning Team, Losing Team" chant after a big win over the Nevada Wolfpack on Feb. 7, 2010. Broadcast on ESPNU.

At Utah State, We Believe We Will Win... ...And We Do! The student section seats over 4,000 students.

If Dickie V had a heart for mid major basketball he'd make that place shake.

Why does it usually seem, when BU or the Illini are somewhat down, the other school is doing well? Anyway, it makes a nice diversion.

Last year was not the case. (Besides the upset of MSU)
