SIU plays at ISU tonight -- starting in about an hour at 7PM

    Wisconsin crushed Northwestern 78-46

Butler loses again -- at home to UW-M

Did anyone catch any of the Indiana game at Iowa...I am sure that IU's Tom Crean was thinking this may be the only chance for a win in the near future with some tough games coming up...although the Hoosiers fall to 10-10 overall and 1-6 in Big Ten play...

..so after quickly falling behind Iowa by double digits, and getting absolutely NO scoring from anywhere except post player Christian Watford...
(the other four starters totaled 21 pts in 97 minutes of combined play)

..Tom Crean then pulled a dramatic and surprising switch in philosophy...
He basically put Matt Roth in and must have told him to take every single shot he could get off...because that's kind of what Matt did...

He got nearly 20 minutes of playing time in a few shifts in both the first and 2nd half...
Unfortunately Matt was not exactly hot and was only 4-12 on 3-pointers...
(Matt's 12 shot attempts in this game constitute half as many 3pt attempts as he had all season long thus far)

And all four makes came after falling behind by 12-16 points or more, and two of them late in the game when the margin was insurmountable at about 20 pts or more...
By then Iowa had plenty of subs like Jordan Stoermer, Zach McCabe, and Devon Archie taking up the minutes..
despite all the 3-Star and 4-Star guys they've gotten, they seem unable to get scoring from anyone except Watford.

IU was without their 2nd and 4th leading scorers for today's game. Maurice Creek is out for the year again with knee surgery, and Verdell Jones is out indefinitely with a knee injury as well.

Wow! Butler loses at home to Milwaukee! It must be time for the "Brad Stevens Hot Seat" thread on the Butler message board!

That's their 2nd loss to Milwaukee this season...they were absolutely trounced by them on the road a couple weeks back.

so you're saying if they are missing two key players that there's a real, understandable reason they cannot win and that we should cut them a little slack??
            hmmm......
