  • Milos..I just don't understand it

I have been making it a point to watch Milos carefully when he enters a game to see what kind of production he is having. It looks to me that his defense is not too bad..For the most part it is as good as anybody on the team. He seems to hustle, I have watched him get steals, and get some rebounds. If he is in any length of time he usually hits a three, and last night against Creighten he comes up with a nice, aggresive lay up. All things considered, he has been performing well during the little bits of time he gets in a game. My question is, why does he get so little playing time. He appears to have some potential, which will never be developed as he gets so little playing time, as opposed to some other players who get considerable more playing time that don't seem to have the same potential. For example, while I am a Jake Eastman supporter, I don't believe that Jake has near the potential that Milos has. Why is Milos not getting "player development" time??? Opinions, please...

we see only part of what the coach sees and we never know what's going on in prac tices or film sessions...it's hard to know enough to answer your question

I can understand that..However, I heard a recent interview, I don't remember if it was Dodie or another player who talked about how Milos works harder that most players on the team, comes early, stays late, etc. If he is not producing in practice, he sure seems to be in a game.

Ask Les during the next coaches show, fans who pay to watch this team deserve some feedback. I've already turned over my season tickets to my teenage daughter and her friends, so I'm losing interest.

Second time I have agreed with Tornado, its silly to think that we would have an issue with Milos.

IMO, you are preaching to the choir here as far as I am concerned. I have been posting for the last week that we need to give MK 6-8 minutes per game to see what we have and allow him to get game experience. Adjust those minutes depending on his contributions or lack thereof. Since it is beyond obvious that we aren't going anywhere this year, JL should be experimenting with lineups etc. Instead, we are limiting players like JP to 9 minutes last night and letting MK remain on the bench. smh

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Don't you think we would hear quite a bit of "WHY AREN'T WE EVEN TRYING TO WIN?"

IMHO, we have been trying to win by sending to the floor a 4 guard lineup night after night and getting the same result. I like JL and hope that he succeeds. However, I honestly believe that JL is far too lenient with allocating minutes to guards at the expense of our taller players.

I'd say we would hear a lot of that around here.

No good reason not to give him more minutes even though I believe he may be a little over his head in this league but then so are a few others, when the 4 guard system does not work then something needs to change, Prosser needs more minutes also and he needs to have at least one more big guy on the floor with him if you want more production from him as it is crazy to think he can be the only big guy on the floor with 4 guards.

Agreed...it is crazy to play one big w/4 guards....it just does not make sense...when their big is crushing you inside..

play MK and AT with Pross when WE is out and likewise when Pross is resting...

I would like to try a slightly different lineup (not starting) and see what happens... --again adjust minutes based on performance--
