Why does this continually happen DC? It happened last year and again this year. Why are these career games always coming at our expense?
Watch the games and look at all the wide-open threes we give up...it isn't hard for guys to have career games if they never have to hit a contested shot from the perimeter...
Chase the ball...overpursue...chase the ball...reversal...wide open 3 after wide open 3...it's been happening for years now...
Goin to be 1 heck of a battle in the top half of the Valley, i'll go to the Bradley games just to go but it will be fun to watch the other top half Valley teams play each other. Should be interesting this final 5 weeks or so.
Disagree...if the Sycamores are legitimate. If anything, this keeps the pipe-dream 3-bid scenario alive (particularly if some random 3rd team wins the tournament).
You have to keep in mind too that Kelly has missed 5 games and Lathan as well. At full strength I think the Sycs have only lost twice all year.
Some things never get fixed. Whether we're playing zone or man, we give up 8 to 10 WIDE OPEN threes ... every game. Some are dumbfounded that the opposition are shooting lights out from three-land. We're lucky to get one or two open looks per game.
Our shot goes up ... everyone heads downcourt. Unless it's the individual who just missed a bunny. No offensive boards.
When we fall behind, turn those 6'2" guards loose to "create" against the 6'10" defenders. Because, after all, the MVC IS a guard-oriented conference.

How can that be? I thought losing your two best players means that it is a certainty that you will lose every Valley game? How is it that Indy State is 7-1? Hmmmm....

I'm still not taking the Indiana St at-large plot seriously yet. Get back to me in 2 weeks if they extend to 11-1.
Missouri St is definitely allowed a mulligan, considering going 3-1 on the road against the group of CU, WSU, UNI, and InSU is perfectly kosher with the selection committee.
Wichita St is the one I'm worried about a little bit.
It should be obvious at this point: Injuries, inexperience and just plain old bad luck.
Nothing at all to do with scouting, preparedness and fundamentals.
Although the antagonistic sarcasm is getting pretty grating, I think all 6 are probably worth looking at. However, I have to believe that the staff scouts the opponent adequately and prepares a game plan to the best of their ability.

Ever think it has more to do with the fact that Kelly and Latham maybe aren't their 2 best players? They have some other kids who have replaced them who are just as good, and are better shooters (Carter, Printy, Odum, McWhorter).

You do realize Indiana State played large chunks of last season without 4 starters and tied us in the league standing, right?
If you can't stand constructive criticism, I can't help you.

No depth has a lot to do with being inconsistent, no inside play which has been going on for quite some time, opponents always have at least one player that has a career scoring night against us, I believe most of this is caused by bad fundamentals, preparedness and poor recruiting.
