Sure looks like Nevada to me!
Well, it is a CHANCE to get an all important road game and for SURE it would be on TV.
I watched Nevada and Utah St. on TV last night and Frazeikas (sic?) is for real.He can shoot from anywhere and gets great position for rebounds.
His faults are, he is not very fast or quick. Zachs athleticism would bother him. Also, seems to tire easily. he was sucking wind early and often. However, if Zach were in foul trouble. He would eat us up!
They also, have a pretty good guard named Sessions.
Lets go get The Wolfpack! We weed a good road win.

Boy...I can't wait for the riveting Bracketbuster matchup of NIU (4-15) vs. Iona (0-20 ). Yuck. What bracket is it that these two teams are busting? Maybe it's the toilet bowl game at the Gus Macker.

Northern Illinois is most likely gonna play host to Eastern Illinois.

Iona will likely be on the road at Deleware.

Interesting little tidbit from WolfPackChat.com (Nevada's message board)...

"SIU fans are buying tickets and booking hotel rooms in Indianapolis for the bracketbuster game at Butler. Apparently their coach all but confirmed SIU-Butler in a post-game interview yesterday."

Nevada fans say they want a Valley team and want to crush 'em.

Also listed at WolfPackChat.com, Lunardi's projected top BracketBuster games last mid-week in a blog:

"Nobody asked me (yet), but these would be my top dozen BracketBusters matchups when the pairings are announced on Monday, January 29:
          1. Southern Illinois (16-5, InsideRPI No. 10) at Butler (17-2, InsideRPI No. 20)
          2. Northern Iowa (15-5, InsideRPI No. 48 ) at Nevada (17-2, InsideRPI No. 31)
          3. Drexel (15-4, InsideRPI No. 45) at Creighton (13-7, InsideRPI No. 34)
          4. Appalachian State (15-5, InsideRPI No. 43) at Missouri State (14-7, InsideRPI No. 42)
          5. Bradley (15-7, InsideRPI No. 35) at VCU (17-3, InsideRPI No. 59)
          6. Holy Cross (15-6, InsideRPI No. 66) at Hofstra (15-5, InsideRPI No. 60)
          7. Utah State (15-5, InsideRPI No. 64) at Wichita State (12-9, InsideRPI No. 78 )
          8. Ohio (13-6, No. 73) at New Mexico State (16-4, InsideRPI No. 80)

I would be ecstatic with that game, and with the opportunity for BU to get a marquee road win. Unfortunately, I don't see us having much of a chance to win that game. Nevada plays dirty (that comes right from their blowhard head coach), and they'll be in their home gym. I don't see that one going very well for the Braves. Nonetheless, I love the opportunity to play a ranked team on national television.

To be completely honest, I don't want to play Nevada, I just don't think we have much of a chance to walk away with a W. Not if we couldn't @CU and @ MSU. I would puch rather draw VCU or Hofstra and come away with a win.

I think if I was at ESPN I would enjoy having a matchup of a current Top 25 school vs. a school that was in the Sweet 16 last year.

Both teams would have good recognition, and would possilby draw viewers to the television.

My thoughts exactly! I have to believe ESPN would love to put these teams together. We'll find out soon.

I think it would be tough to win at Nevada... but, that being said, I think a good game played against Nevada at the road that we still lose isn't much of a bad thing for BU. A "good loss" if there's such a thing. Don't want to get blown out by 30 though...

it will be a tough matchup for sure, but if the braves are doing what they can, they can surely pull off an upset. lets face it they need a marquee win for a possible tourny invite and this would be their chance!

I agree. For sure it would be a tough game to win, but we definately can win it and it would be a huge marquee win for our tourney profile. I say bring 'em on.

exactly stay positive! if they play tough defense, take advantage of the turnovers, get jc in the grove from beyond the arc anything is possible.. worst case scenario they lose, then gotta take care of business in st. louis!
